3 Important Tips For A Successful AdWords Campaign

Created by Google, AdWords allows its users to reach thousands and even millions of people in a short amount of time. The ads provided in this service will be placed in front of the right audience where it will be a means of selling your products and services to people around the world. In order to make use of this kind of functionality effectively, there are a number of steps that you should take to do so.

Whether you are just starting out with your AdWords campaign or a seasoned veteran in the loop, there are tips and tricks available which will help improve the click through rates, increase conversions and decrease the average cost per click.

Start Splitting Your Ad Groups And Campaigns

Avoid having all of your keywords bunched up into a single campaign and ad group. There are many user accounts that still use one campaign and group with a host of keywords within one ad only. Users should note that the structure of Google is hierarchical, which in sense makes for easy and accurate management of the keywords.

The campaigns allow users to manage a bundle of Ad Groups and these ad groups will allow them to manage each ad specifically for a specific set of keywords. Aside from having a more organized setup and letting the user view their performance of their various terms more easily, as splitting up the campaigns and ad groups will allow this to be done more smoothly.

Create Ads That Are Very Specific And Match Them

It is necessary to have the campaigns and ad groups split up in order for the user to start creating ads that are extremely specific and those that matches the terms as well. Splitting up the campaigns and groups will allow for easier management and manipulation of the user account, but specifying the ads will have more people to actually click on the ads.

After you have broken down your ad campaigns and groups into the keywords that are specific to them, the advantages can be noticed right away. Whereas before you would be limited to only using one set of ads for a number of unlikely keywords, you can now target these specific ads for keywords to be more precise. This will make writing the ads much easier to do.

Make Multiple Ads And Start Monitoring Them

The good thing with Google is that it allows its AdWords users to create a host of ads within each of the ad groups. After they have been organized in to the account correctly and the ads have been directly correspondent to the keywords within each ad group, you should then start creating multiple ads.

A host of statistics are being tracked down and reported by Google on each of the ads that are live. The data in which Google reveals are the following:

  • Percent Served – number of times ad was shown
  • Clicks – number of clicks received by the ad
  • CTR or Click Through Rate – number of clicks divided by the number of impressions
  • Cost – overall cash spent with a specific ad
  • Conversion Rate – number of people contacted
  • Cost Per Conversion – number of total expenditure divided by the amount of conversions

Being familiar with the terms above is important for the success of AdWord campaigns.

Thanks for sharing these important tips, i’m very much interested in accelerating my adwords campaign. If there is anything I can share about my experience it would be that it’s very easy to rack up thousands in charges in a short period of time and setting a maximum per day is not a hard stop. So if you do have the time, monitor your ad throughout the day to see how it’s performing and how much you’re being charged. You can then pause your campaign when it reaches the budget you’ve set.

you also can try different pages of your site to see if they get a better score from adsense for certain keywords. if your ad scores higher you wll pay less cash for the ad. keeping the cost down helps almost as much as finding the right keywords that convert the best.
