When you first look at different online casinos, you’ll see that pretty much all of them offer great welcome bonuses for new players who sign up. Of course, with increased competition amongst the sites, the bonuses have got even bigger recently. And many sites now offer no-deposit bonuses too, for people who want to play an internet online casino game now and then, but aren’t ready to put any of their own money down yet.
So while the casino sites are giving out free credit, players may as well take advantage of it. The reason for the free money is to get you to put your own money in further down the line, of course, but you’re not obliged to. You can make use of the bonus money and then stop playing if you choose to.
But before you sign up to one site over another, make sure to read the small print attached to bonuses, as they’re not always as flexible as they might seem at first glance. Some casinos may offer larger amounts, but in reality, the bonuses might have greater restrictions on them than the next casino, whose bonus seems less generous at first. Things to look out for include:
Nearly all casino bonuses will have a wagering requirement attached to them. This is usually expressed as a multiple of the bonus. What it means is how many times you need to play through the bonus money before you can withdraw the funds. An average wagering requirement can be x20 or x30.
There will usually be a time limit in which bonus money has to be played and this can vary from a week to thirty days or more. It’s just worth checking the terms and conditions as you don’t want to sign up for a bonus which you then don’t play within the time limits.
Some casinos have restrictions on which games can be played with bonus credits. Often casinos will limit use of the bonus to the games which have the highest house edge, like slots. Again this is fair enough as long as you know the score when you sign up for the bonus.
When you’re signing up to a casino site, don’t just focus on the bonuses. There are other things to take into consideration, such as which games are available on the site and how good the graphics are. You’ll also find that different sites have player loyalty reward schemes such as cash back every time you play or a points system, so that as you play you amass loyalty points which can be exchanged for free spins or entered into prize draws at a later date.
It’s ideal if you can find the right gaming site first time, but of course, there’s nothing to stop you moving sites if you find another one you like the look of more.
