Effective Content Marketing Hacks to Skyrocket Your Sales

Digital marketers are coming up with new and improved methods to improve conversion. We look at several content marketing hacks that can help you boost sales for products and services.

Content marketing is one of the most effective ways to promote your brand and get maximum ROI. Good quality content that is constantly updated can boost traffic to your website and social media through organic search and sharing.

However, the downside of content marketing is that your competitors are probably trying to do the same as well. Careful estimates suggest that an average internet user is served more than 10,000 ads per month.

That’s a lot of information to process. With all the noise and competitive content out there, businesses may find it difficult to capture the attention of their audience and boost sales effectively.

To help overcome this challenge, we look at several content marketing hacks that can give your business a leg up over the competition and help skyrocket your sales effectively.

Encourage Your Audience to Share Your Content

Digital marketers are always experimenting to find new ways to reach out to customers and promote their content. One great way that they have come up with is to get their audience to spread the word about their products and services.

Everybody likes to tweet, share content on their page or comment about things that they like or dislike. As a business, you should make it easier for people to share your blogs, articles, images etc on their newsfeeds so that their friends and followers can comment on it. The more people you have talking about your business, the better.

One thing you can do is create a simple javascript link on your blog or article. If the reader clicks the link, it opens their social media profile with a link to your content. Your visitor can comment on or share it within minutes.

Use the Power of Email Marketing

Despite the rising popularity of social media, email marketing remains the most effective method for content distribution, especially among B2B marketers. Businesses continue to employ content writers to reach out to their potential customers more effectively.

Market research shows that over 90% of business executives and key decision-makers still choose email marketing as the deciding factor for awarding contracts.

Email marketing is also effective in certain sectors that sell high-cost products that provide great value over a period of time. Take insurance and real estate for instance. Insurance businesses and mortgage lending firms still find greater success with email advertising compared to social media marketing.

Based on the type of business you are in, you could make the most of email newsletters and share news about your latest products and services through insightful content. You can even add social media share buttons to your emails to ensure that subscribers can easily share them on their own networks.

Recreate Your Content into Video and Infographics

One great thing about content is that it can be redesigned and reused multiple times for greater effect.

The blogs that you write today don’t necessarily need to go into obscurity after their a few days. You can recycle your blogs and articles after some time, using them as the basis of more advanced content like images, eBooks, infographics and video etc.

Recycling your content into new forms of visual content is a tried and tested method for successfully increasing your brand’s reach and traffic. You can use the blogs as the basic script for creating video content and live streams.

For example, you can take feedback and questions from your audience in live steam where you answer their questions about your products and services. You can also create video tutorials based on your blogs and articles.

Infographics are also great for recycling content. They are created by combining data with great design. Compared to other types of promotional content, infographics are shared and liked 3 times more on social media. Infographics are particularly popular with B2B companies. The Content Marketing Institute, notes that almost 2 out of 3 companies use infographics in their content strategy.

Memes are also a popular type of visual content that you can create from existing blogs. Memes are generally lighthearted in nature and used to make people think or ask questions about ideas, products and services. In most cases, memes are made by content creators poking fun at celebrities, businesses and politicians. However, businesses are also coming up with smart ways to create and distribute memes that promote their brand.

Get Influencers On Board

Influencers are social media experts who have built an online following through their educational or entertaining content. Their followers trust their judgment on various brands, products and services and follow recommendations. By using these social media influencers, you can quickly promote your brand and put your products in front of millions of customers.

According to Nielsen’s report, more than six in ten respondents said that they completely or somewhat trust the recommendations of someone that they regularly follow on social media.

A lot of SMEs promote their services through social media influencers on platforms like YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. Collaborating with a known influencer makes it easier to put a face and/or name in front of your brand. Influencers make it easy for people to recognize and trust your business when it is new, and they are more likely to buy from you.

It is very important to associate with the right influencer for your business. For example, suppose you are running a food business. Getting a recommendation from Gordon Ramsay, Jamie Oliver or Emeril Lagasse can do a world of wonder for your food business.

Stay Up to Date on Changing Trends

The one thing that is constant about the digital marketing landscape is that it is always changing. Businesses that want to stay relevant must be aware of the new marketing trends in their industry.

Do you know that Google made significant changes to their algorithm in 2019? Are you aware of the new dynamic creative ads on Facebook? Are you keeping up with the latest methods of advertising at Amazon or how chatbots can create greater value for visitors on your site?

If you are not keeping up with new tools and trends, then your content marketing efforts will suffer. A few tweaks here and adding a chatbot or two there does not cost a lot, but it can really help your business stand out and attract more customers.

If you are struggling to update content on your own, you hire content writing services and even video production teams that can do the job for you at a competitive price.

Test, Analyze and Improve

If you think that your work is complete after setting up your website and posting regular content on it, think again. Content marketing is not a one-time affair but an ongoing process. You need to consistently test, analyze and optimize your content to get better results.

There are various methods for testing the effectiveness of your content. The most commonly used method is A/B testing.

A/B testing allows you to compare different versions of your website pages and layout to identify the set up that gives you the best conversions. Under A/B testing, you test one element at a time while keeping everything else the same. For example, you can test long vs. short copy, images vs. no images approach, red vs. blue buttons, font type and size and writing style etc.

You can run the test with different settings until you reach a combination that gives you significantly better results.

Conclusion

Content marketing is a continuous process. Digital businesses need to be aware of what’s going on in the market and adapt to new changes. Even if you’ve created a sensational piece of content, you may not necessarily get the results you expect, if you don’t adapt your overall marketing effort to changing trends.

While the quality of content is obviously an important aspect of content marketing, it’s not enough that you just produce the content. Content promotion, analysis, testing and a team of influencers are also crucial today. Without a comprehensive promotional strategy, your content will not be able to generate significant traffic that justifies ROI goals.

Is marketing worth it!!!!. marketing is bread and butter of every business. Selling is a part of marketing. Without a sales team, you will not sell any product; there will be no revenue for a business. Product designing is also a part of marketing. If you can not design a product according to market needs, no one will buy your product. Hence no sales, no revenue. Without revenue, all the other department of a company cannot function, as there will be no money to pay their salary. So from the point of view from a business or business owner, marketing is of paramount importance.
