The G570 laptops from Lenovo have a wide range of specifications. The appearance is more or less similar. Well built frame, a wrist rest that is dark brushed metal and a brownish black lid. The looks are stylish and the feel comfortable.
The keys are not only well separated and spaced widely, they are curved and have little dimples in the middle, that make it extremely easy for you to type at a high speed, and with minimal typos. On the right side are the numbers, on keys so skinny, they would make a French model envious. The touchpad, which is under the spacebar, is not placed at dead center of the wrist rest. In spite of that, there is still enough space to type with your hands resting comfortably, and you would not be likely to touch the pad inadvertently. The touch pad is a tad teeny but still you can move your mouse pointer pretty decently.
Screen and Display:
The LED screen is smooth and glossy; this may be a little troublesome in some lighting conditions. The size is 15.6 inches and the resolution is 1366×768. HDMI and VGA ports are available so you can always output the video to bigger screens with better resolutions. The colors are vibrant and though at times there’s a slight lean towards yellow, it doesn’t really affect the pale tones.
The in-built speakers are pretty alright for system sounds and the occasional YouTube video clip. If you’re looking for some symphony quality sound though, you will be disappointed; there’s no separation, no bass, and high frequency sounds will likely have a screeching effect.
