A Review of Nokia Lumia Series

Undeniably the most popular mobile phone manufacturer worldwide will be Nokia. And as always it has successfully fulfilled the user’s expectations and vouch to continue it. User friendly long lasting battery and high tech features are the selling point of Nokia. The company has huge customer base around the globe. Nokia has carved a niche in the mobile phone industry.

With more and more advanced and sophisticated technologies introduce in mobile phones. Nokia also launched its Lumia Series back in 2011 to stand in with other mobile companies. A Lumia series phone uses Windows Operating System instead of Symbian based OS one may find in other Nokia manufactured phones. These smartphones are among some of the best selling gadgets as they come with a lot of advanced features and stylish looks. Launched in 2011, it was the first Nokia Phone with a Windows operating system installed.  Its main feature is its OS which is the latest edition of the Windows Phone software known as the Mango edition. This OS engages what are known as ‘Live Tiles’ to display constantly updated information on the main home screen.

Nokia Lumia 710 was launched to provide those advanced features at a cheaper price. It is an entry level phone and the specifications are almost similar to Lumia 800. Operates on a 7.5 Windows but can’t be upgraded to windows 8.



Released in 2012 in consumer electronics show and won the best smartphone award. It is added with a 4G/LTE support for high speed Internet connectivity.



This is an advance featured phone tagged at a low price. It has got a display of 3.7 inches capacitive touchscreen, operates on a 7.5 (mango OS) windows phone.



This is another smartphone that runs on windows 7.5 O.S.  The Camera has 5 megapixels but lacks a flash while the internal memory is 4 GB with no micro SD slot to increase the storage memory. Also it has 256 GB RAM that might make the device slow and some of the apps won’t work properly.



This phone has a 4.3 inch AMOLED clear black capacitive touch screen with an 800 x 480 pixels resolution and super sensitive touch. It has a dimension of 4.87 x 2.7 x 0.39 inches. It operates on Windows 8 with an 8 GB internal flash with 1 GB RAM.



The latest member in the Lumia Family which has a 1.5 GHz dual core processor and runs on an Windows 8 operating system. It has a display of about 4.5 inch of capacitive touchscreen and has an aspect ratio of 15: 2 with a 16.7 m colours and a Gorilla Glass. It operates with Windows 8 on a 1.5 GHz dual core QUALCOMM krait. It has a staggering 32 GB internal flash with a 1 GB RAM. This phone has a sleek dimension of 5.13 x 2.79 x 0.42 inch.

    Nice post and Thanks for sharing this list of Nokia lumia series. When its come to Nokia we can easily reliable on its phone as it have high standard in this. All the phone you mentioned above are awesome and loaded with lots of features.

    They look cool, I think with this series, nokia has come back to the scene with the design as well. And I personally feel really glad about their 3D printable gadgets and cases, because I own a desktop 3D printer:)
