I found most traffic driven by social media such as Pinterest and Facebook tends to have higher bounce rate than traffic driven by search engines. Nevertheless, they’re still a good source to get traffic.

Giving over emphasis to Google ranking will not guarantee success. As the algorithms of Google are changing frequently if you do not have any hold over other social media sites and search engines you can lack behind other websites. So it is important to rank well in all search engines and increase traffic through social networking like facebook, twitter, digg, stumble upon, etc.

Thank goodness for Bing and Yahoo as Google has pretty much completely stopped sending me traffic except for a few a day. Yahoo has really picked up lately and is responding well to link building.

Google is too expensive, complicated and competitive to use. That’s why I use Bing and Yahoo. They’re cheaper and get better results.
