5 Tips for Designing a Perfect Closet

We all dream about having a huge walk-in closet where we can store as many pieces of clothing as we want. Still, there’s much more to it than simply putting all of your clothes into an empty room. If you really want your closet to be perfect, you have to design it carefully and find the right spot for everything. We have come up with 5 tips you should follow if you want your new closet to be just perfect.

Add as Many Mirrors as You Can

Your new closet is going to be the place where you keep and try on all of your clothes. Having that in mind, it’s quite obvious that you will need a mirror in it as well. So, if there is any empty space left in your new closet, make sure you use it to hang as many mirrors as you can. In addition, having plenty of mirrors in your closet will make the entire space look much bigger. And if you want the closet to look more stylish, always choose mirrors with classy frames.

Choose the Best Possible Lighting

One of the biggest problems with walk-in closets is that there is never enough natural light in them. This means that you’ll have to find the best possible way to illuminate it with artificial light. It is no secret that LED bulbs are a much better option than standard, incandescent bulbs. Not only that using these will help you save money, but they are also more eco-friendly. When designing a closet, you can always introduce LED lights in hanging rods so that you can see every single piece of garment in your closet.

Use Inserts to Separate Your Jewelry

When designing a closet, it’s always necessary to add a drawer or two for your jewelry. But what’s great about having a closet like this is that you can customize the drawers in order to make them perfect for storing jewelry. You can either buy drawer inserts and put them in your drawers or make them yourself. These can be made easily by using cardboard or some other material you have in your garage. Not only do drawer organizers make everything look nicer and neater, but if you choose to use them, you’ll never again have to battle tangled jewellery.

Get a Custom-Made Wardrobe

If, however, you cannot make a walk-in closet, due to lack of space, a custom-made closet is the next best thing. As mentioned above, you are going to need all the space you can get, and if you buy a pre-made closet that does not fit properly, you will end up wasting quite a lot of space. Instead, what you should do is contact local shelving specialists and have them design and build you a custom-made wardrobe that will fit into your room perfectly. Just make sure you turn to the best local specialists, as a lot of them install those wardrobes, as well.

Use Pull Out Hooks

No matter how big your closet is, finding enough space for all of your things will always be a difficult task. That’s why you should make sure you use all the space you can. Still, this doesn’t mean you should sacrifice closet rods for more shelves. Pull out hooks are absolutely necessary in every walk-in closet and you should always have at least a couple of hooks you can use to store your clothes. This is especially the case if you have a lot of dresses and handbags that have to be stored properly. Also, bear in mind that you can keep things such as slippers and sandals under your hanging clothes.

Make sure you follow all of these tips and your new wardrobe is guaranteed to look incredible. Just don’t make any rash decisions and choose every item for your room carefully. Once everything is finished, all you have to do is bring all of your garments into the closet and arrange everything the way you want. There’s no doubt you will be spending quite a lot of time in your new closet before you leave the house.
