How To Get More Twitter Followers

How do you get more people to follow you on Twitter? Well, that is a question that is not only often asked by Web administrators and bloggers but also individuals. Before you decide you want more Twitter followers, it is important to ask yourself what you really want i.e. what is your motivation for wanting more people on your follower list? For some, it is just because they want the so-called prestige associated with having a large Twitter follower list displayed on their sidebar, others want to attract advertisers while some want genuine followers who are interested in what they have to offer. Whilst there are many ways to find and get followers, the following are some of the most popular and effective ways to get people to follow you on Twitter.

5 Free Ways To Attract Twitter Followers

  • Use Twitter directories.
  • Organise giveaways and contest.
  • Place a Twitter widget in your sidebar.
  • Add your Twitter profile to your email signatures.
  • Use other social media such as Facebook to find more followers.

Other Premium Ways To Get Twitter Followers

For those who are not patient enough to watch their Twitter list grow, you can use a premium version of one of the following Twitter networks. Please note that the first four networks are free while the Twiends alternatives are not free.

Alternatives to Twiends:

There you go then. So, whilst we won’t explicitly recommend any of the above networks, please read their policies before making up your mind on whether to go for it or not. The major drawbacks with using a Twitter network includes not being sure whether the followers you get are real or not. However, common logic suggests that if you are promised 500 followers a day chances are that many of these so-called followers will not be genuine.

I’ve read from some blogs that twitter are strict about automation recently. I’m not sure how strict they are so I think I’ll stick on the 5 free ways to attract twitter followers that you have mentioned. 🙂

Well, maybe it’ll take more time but I think it’s much better to find and add followers manually. Thus you’ll know that they are real and that they’re interested in what you’re writing about.

Nice list, i always follow people that are relevant to me or my business, i think that is when the followers convert. On social sites you should know who to target, and follow the right audience.

    Thanks for the post.

Some great tips here on how to get more twitter followers.
One of the simplest techniques is to simply ask your readers to follow you on twitter.

Make sure you tweet interesting and valuable content thats closely related to your niche and you will get people retweeting your stuff and you should grow twitter followers virally.

We’ve tried the TweetAdder and it seems to work just fine. The point is not to be greedy, but just to use it to automate all the manual clicking and searching that we would do without it.
