Google has released details of its new hi-tech reality eye glasses in a brief introduction to what it calls Project Glass. The glasses will come in a minimalist design with a microphone and partly-transparent video screen that places information over the view from the users’ right eye. The glasses, which is called techno-glasses by some experts, will add information such as, emails, video chat, Google searches and GPS directions directly in front of a user’s eyes.
According to Google, ” A group of us from Google[x] started Project Glass to build this kind of technology, one that helps you explore and share your world, putting you back in the moment. We’re sharing this information now because we want to start a conversation and learn from your valuable input. So we took a few design photos to show what this technology could look like and created a video to demonstrate what it might enable you to do.”
The glasses are a product of Google’s ‘Google X’ blue-sky ideas lab. However, there is no indication yet about when the device might go on sale or what it would cost. [Watch video below]

I don’t know what to say after watching this video. Google is entering into everything. If this comes true imagine how productive we became and how cool our life would be. If Google releases this I would be the first man who bought this. Cool man.

Nice glasses. I was impressed seeing google came up with the new innovation after long time just busy with their social networks (G+) that I think is less innovative. Hopefully google will always create a new innovation

Wow… Super!!! I saw the video & it seems fantastic idea… It will be so easy to share your experiences live with others using these glasses & also it will be very easy to locate some one. I also liked the idea of artificial intelligence added in same. When some one watches clock, it shows appointments, when he looks outside then it shows temperature etc.

Sure, people will buy this thing. It will be one more gadget to keep people’s minds occupied with trivia. And then, there will be horrifying auto accidents caused by wearing these glasses, and there will need to be laws passed to keep others safe from the stupidity of the wearers.

It’s really amazing and an awesome glimpse of the future. I’m sure we are going towards this. There is a parody video circling around already which is the same movie as here but then with adds all over your view.
As that is actually quite likely to happen, Google’s main business is advertisement. So these glasses will probably throw ads at us as well.

This looks really cool but it will be interesting to see if it is picked up on a wide scale or if it’s just an interesting new technology. Leave it to Google to create this though. I wonder what they’ll think up next.

This glass looks fantastic. As i know about Google is don’t waste any ideas. They entered all techniques and ideas in their marketing. But the glass look somewhat different, who cares?. People like to wear and see how’s the future?. The glass that give you the amazing information as social blog on our computer, but this is not a computer, this one is simply a glass. Google enters the another dimension of future. They develop lot of new scope with motive in future,i hope so.

Seems really great however I wonder how this could work with only vocal control… seems a bit complicated and a bit less easy than what the the video wants to show.
Anyone has got the uke tabs at the end of the video? liked the easy melody…
