Instead, show up as a real person with that genuine smile. Most people judge anyone through how they look like so make yourself appealing and captivating.

I feel there is a problem with “Show up as a person, not a brand” because I agree, it will improve your sales but there is also a very fine line between being a person and being deceptive. Nobody likes when it turns out your friend was really just trying to push some product to you.

Nice tips Tom! I like to use twitter the most. I don’t have that many twitter followers but twitter seems to get me more traffic than the other social media. I would like to spare some time in identifying who my potential customers are and what information matters most to them.I would upload my company logo in twitter profiles to drive traffic.I promote my twitter url by placing it on my email signature, business cards newsletter and customer related things.

When browsing through Twitter, I sometimes see business accounts tweeting nothing but their products and how good they are. No engagement at all. When I see an account like that, I back-off on following because nothing’s more boring that a “robotic” Twitter profile/account.
