3 Unique Ways To Use Social Media To Promote Your Blog

If there is anything a blogger approaches with apprehension in his blogging career, it is driving traffic to a blog. It’s, obviously, one of the most demanding aspect of it and every blogger knows it’s a necessary part of his career. If you can’t manage to get good and quality traffic to your blog, you are actually going nowhere with it.

SEO or search engine optimization is a very effective way of getting traffic to a blog, but being strenuous when considered in the organic sense of it – the real way to drive traffic from search engine, most bloggers consider it too expensive and difficult to achieve. You have to discover this now and the earlier you do so, the better it is. Social media is a very effective way of generating quality traffic to your blog. Following are some unique ways to grow your blog traffic through social media.

Build A Large Base Of Followership

The very first thing you should consider when planning to start building your blog with social media is building a large base of followership. There is importance in quantity. The quantity of visitors you’ll be getting to your blog from a social media site depends on the number of friends or followers you have on that site.

Start building you followership base from now on. Though, this might take some time if it is taken from the ethical side of it, but there are still ways to get more followers quickly. For instance, I created a facebook page for my weight watchers discounts and e-diet coupon blog and I was able to direct traffic from my blog to my facebook page, which resulted in me having more fans.

Promote Quality Blog Posts

You know your friends are human beings with blood running in their veins, and one of the characteristics of human beings is reaction. There are ways we respond to things and our response to a particular situation will impact our future reactions to such situations.

If you post low quality articles on your walls and managed to get some of your friends to waste their time reading it, if they don’t revoke their friendship with you, they will stop reading your wall posts.

Spend quality time creating good content for your blog to make sure your followers would not hesitate to click on any link you share on your wall.

Make Your Title Catchy

After all, what is going to be the first thing they’ll be seeing before the content of your blog? Your title. It might be bearable for people to see low quality articles on your blog, but it might be difficult for your followers to click on your link if the title is not good enough to catch their attention.

Sometimes, I spend same amount of hours I spend creating my contents in creating their titles.

The best way to get this right is by acquiring it as a skill. There are a lot of power bloggers who are copywriters. These bloggers can teach you the art of crafting words, if you start reading their blogs.

Even if you have the best quality article, if your title is not that exciting, no one is going to see it!

I think, catchy title is not the important thing, content of the blog post should be catchy too. Also the more one participates on social platforms like blog commenting, social media, guest blogging and forums will definably help get traffic.

I must confess, I was expecting some quick, easy, possibly not very ethical tricks:) Social marketing is not, however, a media for that kind of stuff!

As a reader most of the time, what really caught my attention is catchy titles. As soon as I read a title which I think very interesting, I wouldn’t think twice to check it out. Next thing I will do is to check if the blog post is really worth reading for. If I’m fully satisfied with the reading material, I will surely be a part of the blog’s list of followers. Overall, the better the blog is, the more chances of it to get one’s attention and loyalty.

I think it is very important to focus on number. Especially if you are a product. We tried many ways, including using software, following lists to build our number and the results have being satisfactory. It is not always about making the sale, even getting the product visible to new customers is also an advantage because it helps build the brand.

I agree. With social media, all we have to do is to expand, expand and expand more. The bigger our network, the better. More and more people will be able to get our feeds which will result to more reads and visits for us. That’s why we should pay as much attention to our social media techniques as much as we do our SEO, because social media just got that important.
