Once upon a time, Apple used to get this kind of attention but lately, the Samsung Galaxy S4 launch is buzzing everywhere. People were flocking the Radio City Music Hall a month back trying to get a glimpse of this mighty device. It is unbelievable that Samsung Galaxy devices have become popular over the last few years and it is one of the most talked about Android phone these days.

In India, the device was launched a few days ago and its launch is something that will remain in our collective psyche for months and years to come. The celebrities, journalists and the common man were shown a remake of the popular Korean song, Gangnam Style, by Psy. To say it was hilarious would be an understatement. Maybe they intended it to be crude deliberately, who knows?

Samsung Galaxy S4 will be ‘Made in India’

Vineet Taneja, the Samsung Mobile and Digital Imaging Country Head recently announced that the Galaxy S4 will soon be manufactured within India. He said: “We are planning to start manufacturing of S4 soon at our Noida (NCR) facility”.

Currently, the Noida manufacturing facility produces about 40 million phones annually. If you buy Galaxy S4 now, it will be imported from Korea. Their new flagship Smartphone is obviously getting a lot of response so Samsung has planned to increase the high end Smartphone market in India. A high-end Smartphone will cost Rs. 20,000+. The Galaxy S4 has some awesome features, which means that they are taking the competition from Nokia, Blackberry and Apple seriously.

Can it be fixed?

The device is also in the news because of the iFixit.com experiment. The staff over at iFixit.com broke down the device into bits to see how they are easy to fix. Obviously, when you are spending big money to acquire these gadgets, you want them to be fixable. You will be delighted to know that the Galaxy S4 has been ranked highly by them in terms of its overall reparability.

This one received a repair score of 8/10, while the HTC One device received a paltry 1/10.
