Plantronics Best-Selling Wireless Headset Made Obsolete

When an industry leader like Plantronics replaces their best-selling wireless headset you know it’s a major announcement and it’s replacement …. BETTER BE GREAT! Well, say goodbye to the rock-solid workhorse CS55 and hello to the impressive new Plantronics CS540!

Plantronics CS540 Wireless Headset

5 Reasons To Upgrade Your CS55 You Love So Much And Replace It With A New CS540

1.  Lightest Weight Wireless Headset in the World: The CS540 headset is the lightest weight wireless office headset in the world weighing only 21 grams. Combine its feather-light weight with a soft gel ear tip and ergonomic over-the-ear loop and you have a new level of all-day wearing comfort you’ll appreciate every day for years to come.

2.  More Range: The CS540 has a range of up to 350 feet.  That’s 50 feet more than the CS55, room to go farther and do more.

3.  Better Sound Quality: Noise-canceling mic — check.  You’d expect this.  Now add voice-dedicated DECT and CAT-iq technology and take one giant step forward in sound quality.  Voice-dedicated DECT eliminates Wi-Fi interference.  CAT-iq processes wideband audio. This innovative combination sharpens voice clarity today AND lets you take advantage of the newest office phone system advancements today and tomorrow.

4.  Secure Docking: Huh?!  I know, that’s what I said, but just listen, This is one of those “little” things that makes your life a lot easier.  Conventional wireless headsets need to be “fit” back into their base (aim, push, seat).  The CS540’s base unit is magnetized.  It gently seats the headset into the base for charging, automatically.  It’s one less tiny distraction (15 times a day!!).  Honestly, you’ll love this advancement.

5.  Direct Conferencing: This is conference calling made easy.  Conference up to three additional CS540 users on the SAME phone line.  Each user simply slips their headset into your base and is added onto the call.

If you’ve been thrilled and more productive with your wireless CS55, you’ll find yourself ECSTATIC with the advances in technology and roaming distance of the Plantronics CS540.

I *still* haven’t gotten on board the wireless headset train. Is this a craze I can avoid, or do I need to buckle down and get one? I just haven’t really had a need for it that I can see!

It’s so cool!! but clear things up for me a bit.. does it need to be charged 15 times a day???

The unit has a talk time of 7 hours so you charge at night and it easily lasts all day. The “15 times a day” refers to users that take the unit on and off during the day and repeatedly place it back in the docking station. Sorry about the confusion.

That is a very awesome headset. It’s the little details like the magnet in the docking station that makes it a quality product.
But I personally still rather use a bluetooth stereo headset so I can use it for listening to music as well.

I like the CS540 but find that the headband can be a little bit loose. Thus, I love the CS510 over-the-head headband version. Not as light but feels more stable on my head. Also, it has a better noise cancelling microphone.
