There are many different kinds of phone systems available for small businesses these days. The use of analog phones and traditional switchboards are becoming a thing of the past, especially for small business who really can’t afford the cost of using a bunch of analog phones and traditional switchboards.
Save Money
Most small businesses use some kind of phone system to communicate with their employees and customers. Some use the traditional analog phones, but many others use the more technology advanced systems such as IP phone systems. Many small businesses are looking for ways to save money and the phone system is one of those ways.
Benefits
An IP phone system is a specially designed broadband phone that is connected to the Internet. In order for a small business to use an IP system it will need to have a reliable Internet or broadband connection. The IP phone has the same functions as a traditional analog phone such as transfer, hold, conference, and mute buttons. This system works perfectly for most small businesses because it doesn’t require a large amount of equipment or wires.
Virtual
It is also a good idea for many small business owners who have workers working across the country. There are many small business owners that actually work from a home office and their employees or contractors work in their own homes or in remote locations across the country. Using an IP phone system helps the small business owner connect with their workers virtually through an Internet connection. Each worker then has a connection to the IP phone system through the broadband connection.

An IP phone system gives the small business owner the look and feel of a large corporation. This appeals to your customers and clients and helps improve productivity and can increase the success of your business.
Features
An IP Telephone System uses virtual numbers. So if you want to have an 800 number or a toll-free number you can get one. This helps customers around the country contact you much easier at no cost to them. An IP Telephone system will also provide extension numbers for each of your workers.
The system can also provide a direct line with an actual area code if you prefer to have a number that represents a local area. If you ever move, you don’t have to worry about new phone installations or anything. The IP phone system will go with you wherever you go as long as you have an Internet or broadband connection. Most IP phone systems can incorporate the use of a live operator or an automated message center. Another advantage of an IP phone system is the ability to send faxes through the system. You can use the same number or set up a separate phone number for the fax.
In conclusion, using a VoIP phone system will greatly enhance your business in this virtual world we live and operate in.

Yes, I agree with the IP Phone Service. It saves a lot of money, it is very convenient, less wires and hook ups. It even as Video call. I think some day all phones will be connected to the internet. No more landlines.

Is there a VOIP system that allows you to have multiple numbers that all forward to the same number where you can see which forwarding number the call came from?

The ability to extend a single ip phone to an employee in a remote office is a great thing. Simple and cost effective.
