Efficient Cloud Storage Can Save Headaches

anchorAs the cloud storage industry continues to reach unprecedented success, industry experts have often listed the benefits of implementing personal and business cloud functions. An individual can take advantage of cloud storage by accessing it anywhere in the world, while a company can improve customer support by offering guaranteed access, quick customer service and constant updates.

Anchor is a cloud storing development company that was established in 2011 by a group of entrepreneurs and channel-focused individuals with the goal of building and maintaining great products for managed service providers (MSPs) and the end-user market. The company is based in San Francisco, California and provides tools for MSPs that enables them to build and price their own cloud file sync and backup solution. Anchor enables MSPs to scale to thousands of users and to price the solution at their discretion. The solutions offered by Anchor have the capabilities of powering up an organization with the most efficient cloud storage software.  It manages file-sharing for both internal and external parties and handles multiple folder backup, granular user-access and security controls.

Furthermore,  Anchor’s other services are comprised of data storage to any data store type, universal file access, active directory and PSA integration, revised file backup, Windows and OSX agents, rapid deployment, continuous real-time backup and custom deleted file retention periods. The Anchor cloud storage software is equipped with a centrally administered, multi-tenant dashboard. The dashboard features comprehensive usage reports, unlimited user scale and discretionary margins, 100 percent brand agent, web and mobile applications and smart alerting system for data usage. Anchor’s platform also includes security features, such as encryption key management and remote wipes of end points, and operates using 448-bit blowfish encryption. In just two short years, Anchor has formed a dedicated and experienced team ready to serve their clients.

The team consists of David Bernat, vice president of technology; A.K. Kappor, vice president of sales; Bryan Foster, vice president of business development; Pierre Tapia, co-founder vice president of products; and Matt Cotton, senior software architect. “Our Anchor platform provides MSPs with a cloud storage solution that is secure, simple and requires little maintenance,” said Tapia in a news release. “Integrating Anchor’s sync and collaboration functionalities with the industry-leading monitoring and management capabilities of Managed Workplace has an immediate impact for our mutual MSP partners by furthering their ability to automate service offerings, streamline operations and ensure accessibility for end-clients.” Anchor has already been recognized by the industry when it was awarded the Best Newcomer at IT Nation’s 2012 Partner’s Choice Awards.
