When you market on Twitter, you are not doing so by yourself. Instead, you are a part of a Twitter marketing community. Consequently, you are a member of the Twitter social network and add tremendous value to others via your tweets. This is why you shouldn’t be dishonest but rather be candid with other Twitter users.
Since there is so much going on Twitter, you must find a way to stand out in the crowd when you are promoting your products to your specific market. For example, if delivery services is your thing, you need to think of ways to sell your products or/and services to others in an uncommon yet effective manner. Now, unless you’re honest and straightforward, this would be difficult to achieve.
First, the things that you choose to tweet on Twitter should add value to your reputation or devalue it otherwise they will be ignored if they are perceived as being spam. So before you tweet about any of your products on Twitter, always follow the golden rule and give others the same thing as what you would want to receive. Your followers are more likely to turn into customers if you relate to them warmly rather than try to aggressively sell to them. If you consistently send your followers quality content that is useful to them, rather than just sales pitches, you’ll have much better results. Once you build a rapport and know that your followers are actually feeling comfortable, that’s when you should aim to send out your offers. Start off, however, by posting tweets with interesting and informative content. Later on, you will see how valuable this approach is.
Second, you have to post tweets that capture people’s interest. No matter your topic, try to make them distinctive enough so that they aren’t lost among all the others. However, in the quest to grab attention don’t start sending out irrelevant tweets to your followers. Nothing is more unprofessional than getting random tweets when you’re actually expecting something special. Overall, the best thing to keep in mind is providing value to your followers. Thus, the biggest secret in Twitter marketing is to simply deliver better quality in relation to your competitors.
