Convert Your PDF Files into Stunning Media Presentations

Now is the time to give your old PDF files an overhaul and turn them into impressive visual presentations. There are so many tools and web design techniques out there that anyone can build a presentation, starting with a simple text document now.

Not a graphics programmer? You shouldn’t need to worry about the back-end details or have to know about the jquery flipbook coding that can be used to create flips from scratch. Anyone can create a stunning presentation with a few tools and tips.

Choose a Tool

The first step into converting your PDFs into something impressive is to find the right tool for the job. Your standard PDF editor may be enough but it’s usually designed for text formatting and traditional layouts. You should go for a tool that is geared more towards the multi-media end of things.

Yumpu is one example, but there are several of them out there. You’ll want one that you can upload an existing PDF and then use their host of tools to add further media and convert to a better final format. Once you have your tool, you have to think about how to improve your PDF, to create a really amazing presentation instead of a flat text document.

Flippable Pages

The place to start to really turn your PDF into a true presentation is to alter how you move from page to page. Adding in an animated “flip” is the hottest trend right now, and should be on the top of your to-do list with your new presentation.

It might seem like a complicated bit of programming to bring to life, but tools like Yumpu do it all automatically so this shouldn’t be a problem.

Better Photos

If you already have large, clear photos in your document, you can just leave them be. If you went with a more text-heavy presentation the first time, rethink that approach and get some new photos taken. Even smartphones are equipped with high-resolution cameras now, so there is no reason why you can’t have good quality photos for your presentation.

Of course, it doesn’t have to be just photos that add visual appeal. Depending on the topic, you might want to include other forms of graphics like charts, diagrams or even infographics to help add some variety from the text. Just click and copy them into your PDF with the editing tool.

Videos and Audio

This is where your presentation can tower above any plan PDF document, with visual additions that catch the eye and the imagination. Along with photos, a video is pretty much expected in presentations these days. Have at least one relevant clip in your file.

Don’t forget audio. Music, sound effects, and other audio effects can be very impressive additions to your presentation as well. All of these can be added to the pages of your presentation with just a click or two.

The Presentation

In order to make the best use of your new and improved documents, you have to be prepared to display it properly. Are you able to connect to a big screen? Either use a tool that allows for website embedding, so you simply have to use a television or monitor that can access a web page, or be sure to carry a spare HDMI cable so you can hook your tablet or phone to a screen.
