Blog Ranks, Points and Rewards

Ever wondered what it takes to encourage participation and user interaction on your Website or blog? We did too and came to a conclusion that the time was right to install a point management system on this blog. Thus, users can now earn points by participating in activities such as writing comments, creating posts, participating in our online forum and logging in on this Website. Guest contributors will also be able to earn points that is a measure of their overall performance and activeness on this blog in relation to publishing articles and replying to reader comments.

Consequently, a major feature of this Website will now be the introduction of a ranking system based on the number of points earned by each member. By introducing ranks, registered members will be able to show off their status and will be beneficiaries of rewards that will be announced from time to time. Furthermore, we will introduce random bonus points giveaways so as to give readers an equal chance to win prizes occasionally.

Point Activities

The list of activities you can earn points for as well as their corresponding points are shown below.

  • Points for new members: 100
  • Points for each post: 25
  • Points for each comment: 5
  • Points subtracted for spam comment: -5
  • Points for daily visit: 10
  • Points for new forum topic: 15

It’s easier to keep tally of your points if you login before making comments. Let me know if and when you have registered so that all your points can be added retrospectively. Thanks 🙂

Hi there, I answered your question regarding your name in an earlier reply to a different article. Basically, our anti-spam system replaces suspected spam keywords with real names. This is a commentluv blog so you will be able to use keywords if you have naturally made enough comments. You can register under the ‘Contributors’ menu or use this link and try to make comments with your real name from here on too. Thanks.
