Oracle OpenWorld 2012, the largest annual gathering for the enterprise software giant, is just around the corner. With the event set to take place September 30th-October 4th, many of the conference’s expected 70,000 attendees are likely gearing up to head out to San Francisco. Before heading out, it’s always useful to create a game plan for the conference, and to know what to expect.
As is the case with each OpenWorld, the conference is set to touch on nearly every aspect of enterprise software–from hardware to software to operating systems. With a conference as big as OpenWorld, it can be easy to get lost amongst the constant activity and the laundry list of talks you have to catch. To help everyone get their bearings and set expectations for the event, CRM Software TV recently caught up with enterprise software thought leaders Dennis Pombriant and Brent Leary to offer a preview of what attendees can expect from OpenWorld 2012.
Here are a few highlights from their recent video preview:
- Following the acquisition of RightNow (a leader in customer experience software) Oracle will likely focus on the customer experience aspect of CRM software.
- Oracle will be focusing on getting customers to transition over to their Oracle Fusion Apps; expect a focus on showing companies how to make the transition.
- In addition to focusing on convincing customers to move to Oracle Fusion Apps, Oracle will start to piece together how their recent acquisitions will fit into their their vast portfolio of enterprise tech.
