Top 5 Mobile Networking Apps

social networking apps

We live in a closely packed world where people love to share their thoughts, emotions and life events through social media platforms. To cater to this trend, there are several mobile apps developers who have created social media apps that allow users to carry on such activities with utmost ease.  However, to find the right app that helps one meet their need can be a daunting task. Therefore, to make matters simple here is a list of top five social media apps that will make the joy of sharing even better.

1. Flipboard

This is an all in one app. You name it and all are there under one roof with easy access facilities. While some social media apps focus on a single service like Facebook or Twitter, Flipboard makes it easy to keep up to date on many services, from those two to Instagram, LinkedIn, and Tumblr, too. Unlike standard social media apps that just mimic timelines, Flipboard transforms timelines into lushly illustrated magazine-style pages, making reading updates and tweets more interesting and appealing than other apps. With its style and wide range of features, it’s a top pick.

2.Facebook App

Here’s the name which comes on top of every mind when it comes to social networking. The folks at Facebook know a good deal about social networking, and they used that knowledge to create one of the best iPhone apps on iTunes. This free app closely resembles the Facebook website, and you can do pretty much everything you would there: update your status, comment on posts, approve friend requests, and upload pictures. This is one app which mostly everyone ends up opening whenever they get time. The photo albums can be slow to load, but any Facebook user would benefit from downloading this app.

3. Meebo

If you have the Meebo.com website you might remember that it is one of the finest online chatting website which had the integration of Yahoo, Gtalk, MSN chat etc. Meebo allows you to connect and chat with friends across multiple instant messaging service networks.  Meebo supports a lot of the major IM clients and top social networks like Facebook, MySpace, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo! Messenger, and more into one easy-to-use app. Not only is the app free, but the interface is much more streamlined than its competitors, which tend to look cluttered. Setting up your Meebo account is quick and easy, and the app supports push notifications to alert you of new chats and replies. Skype users may be disappointed, however, since that service is not supported.

4. Imo Instant Messenger

The imo application enables you to store compatible messaging accounts in one place – in addition to storing the messaging accounts you can also instant message with contacts from your accounts, all in one place! Supportable clients are MSN, AOL Instant Messenger, Facebook, MySpace, and more. Imo is also one of the few chat apps that support Skype — even Meebo lacks this feature. Things can be easily organized in this app and you can also sort out buddies into different list and hence create a buddies favorites list with a searchable chat history. The app supports push notifications, but that feature only works for 72 hours after your last login.

5. Seesmic

Got more than one social networking account, but want to manage them all from a single app? Seesmic may well be the best choice available. Seesmic brings an efficient perspective to social networking on a mobile platform. It supports Twitter, Facebook, and Ping.fm (which supports LinkedIn, Blogger, WordPress, and many other services) and allows you to post to all of them from a single interface. To make it even more appealing, it’s free! While it lacks some of the nice lower-level features that official or dedicated apps do, the trade-off of being able to manage multiple accounts in one app more than makes up for it.

Social  Networking apps are in abundance over the iTunes and Android store, but only a few are worth the try, if you value your time and wish to find the best app the above mentioned list is sufficient to assist you. They not only help you find friends and business partners around your location but assist you in keeping in touch with them 24 hours a day.
