Our ability to do business on the go is ever increasing. Whether it is sending faxes, scanning PDFs, or accessing documents, we are able to do most business straight from our smartphones or tablets. Because of this, more businesses are taking advantage of the ability to maintain remote workforces.
Of course, there are now thousands of apps to choose from when transitioning to a more mobile office. This means that it is becoming more and more difficult to identify the apps that deliver on their promises and those that are the corporate equivalent of snake oil.
Below are the apps that I’ve found the most useful for doing work on the go:
This app is about efficiency and accuracy for business executives who want to run a tight ship but donât have time to micromanage. MasterControl Mobile allows you to access documents, view tasks, and collect data from your mobile device. It connects directly with MasterControl QMS software so all of your quality and compliance data is up-to-date.
MasterControl Mobile is especially useful during business meetings to review marketing information and verify product specifications. With the mobile app, documents or plans that need approval can be forwarded to the appropriate personnel from off-site.
This app is perfect for those who work with a lot of documents. TurboScan allows you to scan documents, notes, receipts, or anything with text and convert them into PDFs or JPEGs. There are a ton of these apps in the app store, but this one takes the highest quality scans.
This app also puts itself ahead of the rest with its ability to compile multi-page documents. Overall, itâs a simple app that does one thing, but it does that one thing better than everybody else.
The Square Register allows you to accept, record, and keep track of credit card, cash, and Square Wallet payments. You can also send receipts via email or text, a feature that customers seem to appreciate. You can also access sales data and create an online store in the Square Market. This app makes it easy for brick-and-mortar businesses to go mobile.
This app does exactly what you think it would do; it lets you access your PC remotely and use your work resources from your mobile device. You can stream HD videos and sound from the app. There is even an option to connect it to external monitors or projectors for business meetings. Fear not, Apple users, this app is available across all platforms.
