Live in a Smart Home with Some of these Great Gadgets

We all want the perfect home, and thanks to a wide range of gadget available you can add the finishing touches off to your home in a variety of ways. Whether it is from a safety aspect or just leisure, there are ways you can enhance the comfort and feel of your home. As the technology we have surrounding us continues to grow some of these products may go on to be regulars for everyone but you can get them now to stay one step ahead of your friends when it comes to household gadgets.

The first place to start is with your bedroom and more specifically a TV bed. Fairly self-explanatory, a television is built in to the foot of the bed and will operate via a control that will see it pop up. They are available from Bedstar, where you can be one of the people who say that they bought a bed with a TV in it. Pretty cool. Having a television in your bedroom is pretty normal nowadays so what better way to lie in comfort than watching a TV that is designed to be viewed from your bed. There will be no twisting and turning or fidgeting to find the right spot, as you can just lie back and watch your favourite movies and programmes with the click of a few buttons. As well as that, you can hook it up to your games console which means you can wake up and carry straight on with your favourite game in seconds.

Whilst a TV bed is great from a comfort perspective there are gadgets that are more focussed around your security and safety that are equally impressive, none more so than the Nest smoke detector. It works in sync with your phone and will send you alerts if ever there’s a problem, as well as that it will talk to you to tell you if an issue arrives. Pretty impressive from a smoke detector and a fine example of how the technology is being put to good use, you hope you’ll never hear from it, but if the worst arises this gadget will be helping out anyone in the house. Another gadget that covers the security of your home is the Samsung SmartThings starter kit, it can provide you with motion sensors, presence sensors and a hub that allows you to keep on top of everything that is happening in your home. For a more light-hearted but effective gadget you could try the iKettle, which will boil your water and have it ready for you at the click of a few buttons from your phone.

Overall, the role of gadgets in our home will only increase with the amount of technology at our disposal and already there are so many ways to improve your home, from the comfort of watching your TV to the security of your home. As it develops there will be more ways you can make your home a smart home and stay up to speed with all the latest gadgets.
