Small business owners often find themselves so weighed down by dozens of seemingly small but complex day to day responsibilities and distractions that doing anything worthwhile or planning something innovative becomes nearly impossible. Read on to find out how servers and Smartphone’s can help you boost productivity.
Being productive for even 5-6 hours in an office is nothing short of a challenge. Demanding clients, technological bottlenecks and dozens of other distractions can easily suck up most of your energy. To make it worse, there are scores of other hassles including air travel, taxi hire, cleaning, data management, payment processing etc.
But, not everything has to be this way. You cannot let your small business run this way, can you?
While technology cannot solve every little problem you encounter as a small business owner, it sure can help you to communicate, collaborate and monitor business operations more effectively. Hundreds of small and medium scale businesses in Singapore are now partnering with dedicated IT infrastructure management and IT support companies like ours to do just that.
It’s not just the trend. Today, it’s common business sense.
If you need to leave your (business) premises every now and then to meet customers, vendors and others, you may find it very difficult to stay productive. But, if you’ve got a Windows mobile (or a PDA) in your pocket and a Microsoft Small Business Server back in your office, being productive, even when you’re away or caught up in a dozen ad hoc tasks is possible.
Once you’re done installing a Microsoft Business Server in your office with the help of an IT services company, you can access all important company data from a Windows mobile no matter where you are. This secure gateway to your small business’s digital network enables you as well as your employees in the field to communicate and collaborate as if everyone is in the same office. Since the small business server comes with powerful built-in security features, you can be assured of the fact that your confidential business data will never be compromised. Security is one big issue that most independent Smartphone applications fail to address. But, with a robust server as your backend system and a secure app as an interface, you need not worry about these issues at all.
A server-Smartphone combination, especially when it has been designed specifically to make everything âfaster and simpler, works perfectly well for small and even large businesses nowadays. Reading emails from a mobile browser or checking presentations and records on a standalone mobile app is more time consuming.
While a Windows Mobile and Microsoft Business Server combination has some well-known advantages including increased mobility, sharing of contact information, calendars, on-the-go ideation etc., there’re some less known advantages too. Even when you’re on the road or out of town, you can easily monitor your business’s sales operations, for example.
Even if you’re going to take a little longer to make up your mind and jump on this mobile-internet wave, it’s still advisable to start using a smartphone (at least) to run business operations. Using applications such as Skype, Dropbox, Desk.com and others will make you realize how easy it is to save time and remain productive even when you’re not in office or need to handle half a dozen things at once.

Have you ever considered about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and all. However, think of if you added some great visuals or videos to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with images and videos, this site could undeniably be one of the very best in its niche.
Wonderful blog!
