Following Google’s launch of its image search, questions have been asked about how the technology works and whether or not it is accurate. At first glance, the search results appear to be fairly accurate and intriguing. For those who are interested, the following video presentation by Peter Linsley (originally delivered at SMX West in February, 2009) will attempt to answer some of your questions on how exactly Google images work and to some extent what it can be used for. I’ve always wondered how this worked… now if I could just better understand how pictures really impact SEO – one of the more tricky subjects in my opinion.

As a diagramming site images search is very important to us. Good alt tags and some relevant text around the image works wonders in image search.

It’s good to know more about how google images work. Many people don’t realize how much traffic they can get through images.

I would agree to Hsb, I also wonder how this work. But good the good thing is, you add another brilliant idea on how Google Image work.
