That’s quite a smart way to do some facebook marketing.
For the cost of 5 iphone cases they get a lot of people to like them.
Maybe they should do it with +1 as well, might help them in the serps.

Social media really helps online businesses to market their product. The strongest medium is through Facebook and Twitter because these two is the most use social networking sites now a days.

If I were them I would have created a specific page for this contest on their fan page and make it default page, so when Facebook visitors would have accessed the page, they would have seen the contest first, not the Wall.
