Football Manager 2011, the latest in the series, has been given a release date. The game which is the 6th in the series and 18th football manager game designed by the Collyer brothers will be launched on 5 November 2010. While on the surface, the game is said to appear similar to last years edition, a lot of improvement has been made on previous editions. The new series will feature over 400 new additions including a new negotiation system which involves real-time trading and an updated player database.
Analysts expect Football Manager 2011 to be successful in the PC market especially in Europe. Whether sales can match that of other popular games such as Hallo Reach and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 in terms of success and volume of sales is yet to be seen.
Talking Point
Why are football management games such as Football Manager and Championship Manager, no longer as popular as they used to be?
