Everything To Know About Call of Duty Warzone 2

On Wednesday, 17th November 2022, a successor to Call of Duty’s hit battle royale, Warzone 2, will be unleashed. Activision and Infinity Ward have already served us some juicy live-action teasers, so we have a pretty decent clue on what to expect in Warzone 2 and COD betting in 2022.

Warzone 2 might be a wholly new game, but it will exist alongside the present Warzone. Meanwhile, the coop mode for Modern Ware 2 has been likened to a popular hardcore PvPvE FPS, ‘Escape from Tarkov,’ so it really is going to be worth checking out.

In this article, we’ll get hands-on with one of the most highly-anticipated game releases of 2022, Call of Duty: Warzone 2.

Warzone 2 Will Be Different from Warzone and Modern Warfare 2019

Patrick Kelly, the head and creative director at Infinity Ward, has, on several different occasions, emphasized that Warzone 2 will be shifting gears upward from its predecessors.

Admittedly, a handful of Warzone’s missions were somewhat gritty and uncomfortable to play. In contrast, Warzone 2 assumes a lighter tone, and we could not be more grateful.

The world has taken such a bleak turn since 2019. First came the pandemic, followed by the Russia-Ukraine war, and then the rising inflation. With life so grim presently, Warzone 2 will focus on fun, adventure, and action. The tonal change in CoD: Warzone 2 is thus a very welcome shift.

Warzone 2 Will Be Brilliant and Colorful

When playing Warzone, most gamers felt that it was a sort of gray/brown experience. Indeed, the game did feel rather washed out and colorless in some parts.

Nevertheless, the color palette in Warzone 2 promises to be positively better than in Warzone and Modern Warfare. Although not quite as poppy as Black Ops Cold War, Warzone 2’s graphics are downright impressive. The missions look spectacular, varied, and incredibly fun to play.

Warzone 2 Is Linked to Modern Warfare II but Not Past CoD Entries

Warzone is currently linked to Vanguard, Black Ops Cold War, and Modern Warfare 2019. These games run on different engines but share a buggy, antiquated launcher.

Warzone 2 hits the reset button to wipe the CoD slate clean. So, even though Warzone 2 runs on the same engine as Modern Warfare II, you can’t carry over anything from past games. You, therefore, will have to give up all of your previously purchased content, including skins, guns, etc.

Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II are ushering in a brand-new Call of Duty gaming era through a unified Game engine. Going forward, CoD titles will be built using Sledgehammer, Infinity Ward, and Treyarch tech. With Warzone 2 and MW II going next-gen, older games will, unfortunately, not be compatible with the new game engine.

Warzone 2 Will Be Available on Steam

Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare II will allow cross-play across all platforms, including Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PS4, PS5, Battle.net, and Steam. This is good news for steam gamers as well as anyone in favor of migrating over to steam when Warzone 2 comes out in a few days.

A leaked Verdansk footage also suggested that Warzone 2 might be coming to mobile. Although these are largely wild and unconfirmed rumors, playing COD: Warzone 2 on mobile would be exciting.

Warzone 2 Brings Lots of Water Play and Improved AI

Some of the multiplayer’s ground war maps in Warzone 2 have lots of water areas. Even though we have not yet confirmed whether the 6v6 maps will include water play, the new co-op mode in Warzone 2 will offer many swimming opportunities.

Infinity Ward has already demonstrated the impressive improvements we can expect to bots and UI behavior in the new Warzone 2. In addition, gamers can expect a whole bunch of thrilling animations and behavior from bots.

The Gunsmith Is Getting Upgraded

Unlike in the past three Call of Duty releases, the Gunsmith in Warzone 2 will give gamers a lot more tinkering options.

A major option is the “tuning of attachments,” which allows players to customize all of their gun attachments.

On top of all that, Warzone 2 brings in plenty of new stuff, including

  • New Gear like new tac cameras, Drill Charge grenades, decoy grenades, DDOS, etc.
  • New vehicles like Heli-transport vehicles are capable of turning into a hovering base
  • New Guns
  • Many others

All in all, we like the direction Warzone 2 is headed. We can’t help but feel optimistic that it will go beyond its colorful design and improved graphics to offer memorable storylines, fantastic characters, and truly immersive gameplay.
