If you play online bingo on a regular basis or you have played online bingo in the past then more than likely you are aware of the bog standard bingo patterns that are used in different variations of bingo. Bingo can usually be categorised into two main groups, 75 ball and 90 ball bingo and each category has its own patterns that are used. Although these patterns are tried and tested and have stood the test of time there are still over patterns out there that are available to players.
90 Ball Bingo
In 90 ball bingo the patterns that are used will always stay the same and will never change. There are 3 patterns that are played in every game and consist of the following: 1 line, 2 lines and a full house. 1 single line means what the title says; you have to mark 1 full horizontal line on any of the 3 horizontal lines that are available on a bingo card. 2 lines has the same concept apart from you need to fully cover 2 horizontal lines of the 3 that are available on a given bingo card. To get a full house all 15 numbers that are on a bingo card need to be covered. Getting a full house in under a certain ball count will usually result in a progressive jackpot win.
75 Ball Bingo
75 ball bingo is where all the patterns can change each time a new game is played. This version of bingo can offer a wide range of different bingo patterns. A bingo card in 75 ball bingo is made up of a 5×5 grid of numbers and the possibilities of patterns available are endless. A standard game can be won with a simple horizontal, vertical and diagonal win where a player has to get a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line to win the game but that is not where the game ends. Infact, why play the same boring patterns when they are tons to choose from?
Below are some of the most common patterns that are usually used when playing a game of 75 ball bingo.
A Few Common Variations of 75 Ball Bingo
- Postage Stamp – This is where players have to mark each 4 corners of a bingo card.
- Coverall – This variation is a popular choice and is where players must cover each square on a given bingo card to win.
- Picture Frame – The player has to cover all squares along the outer rim of their board to win.
Not So Common Patterns
- Anchor – This pattern resembles an anchor like shape.
- Baseball Diamond – This shape resembles a baseball ground where each corner needs to be filled with an additional 3 squares in the top right to resemble a home plate.
- Happy Face – This is what the name suggests, your card will resemble a smiling face with the winning numbers.
- Numbers and Letters – A number or letter that is stated before the game has to be made with the winning numbers.
With people becoming more creative when playing online bingo, more and more patterns are constantly being made. People always want more variety and with online bingo sites springing up everywhere to be different and to be categorised under best bingo sites, online sites try and create more variety by adding more and more patterns. In fact, there is a good chance that there are some patterns that have not been made up yet.

I love to play bingo myself and I have to admit that I am very fond of the typical 90 ball bingo patterns. The 1 line, 2 lines, full house works great. 90 ball bingo is the only version of online bingo that I play, I am not too fond of 75 ball.

Playing bingo is my favourite pass time game. We do have very less online bingo games to play. Most of the time I spent online. This makes me more inclined to play online bingo games. As you have posted some of the not so common patterns, I am excited to play Happy face pattern. Thanks for sharing!

I used to play bingo but haven’t tried playing it online. It seems like online games like this one is a great way to engage yourself during your free time. Maybe I could try this one, I wonder what’s the cost of bet.

thanks for the essential online bingo patterns reviewing entry. I am in the mobile casino games affiliate business and must confess that I play at mobile casinos myself from time to time. But I have never played mobile bingo games for a simple reason – all bingo games are the game of pure fortune. There is no strategy to beat the house, just pure luck. Better to play blackjack, video poker, poker following optimal casino games strategies. But the most important thing is to receive mobile casino bonuses, than depending on the house rules you can even have a small advantage over the house if the casino allows you to wager on the games with elements of gambling skills rather than on the games of pure fortune.
