He expressed confidence that industries with an investment of ₹23,000 crores will be established in the area and generate jobs for 28,000 educated unemployed individuals in the state. He also noted that Andhra Pradesh was well-suited for steel production. In addition to the steel plant, the Former Chief Minister also spoke about establishing a mega seed park on 650 acres at Thangadancha in the district, in collaboration with Iowa University. Inviting entrepreneurs to set up units in Orvakal, Mr. Nara Chandrababu Naidu promised units of water from the Muchumarri Lift Irrigation Scheme. The district is also ideal for horticulture and cement factories will be established at Koligundla. The Handri-Neeva project is supplying water to 1,500 minor irrigation channels, a project worth ₹570 crores. The Chief Minister promised that the works for the steel plant would be completed expeditiously.
