5 Best Locksmith Apps for Android Users

The Android operating system has become one of the most popular mobile operating systems in the world. The main strength that drives this is the fact that it’€™s possible for virtually anyone to design apps that can be used on Android devices, without as much restriction as is the case with other mobile OS platforms. The upshot of this is that today, the OS has thousands of applications of all kinds. For instance, if you are a locksmith, you are likely to find many apps that will be useful for you on this platform. Some of the most popular of these include:

Auto Smith Pro:

One problem you are likely to run into as a locksmith is finding that different lock manufacturers use different standards to make their locks. For instance, the locks that two different auto makers use may be so vastly dissimilar, that even seasoned locksmiths might not be familiar with some of them. This app ensures that you get all the information you need about this at your fingertips. All you need to do is enter the name of the car brand you have in mind, and it will bring up tons of information regarding any detail to do with locks. This includes key blanking and instructions on how to reprogram specific codes.

Stand Alone Access Controls:

The use of electronic locks is becoming more popular these days, mainly due to the fact that they are safer and easier to use than traditional locks. With this app, it becomes easy for you to get instructions on how to deal with any kind of electronic lock, and how to program it.

How to Pick a Lock:

When you are a novice locksmith, one of the hardest things you can do is learn how to pick a lock. The fact that it requires a lot of patience and expertise means that you need a lot of practice in order to learn how to do it quickly and effectively. With the use of this app, you can accelerate this process, ensuring that this does not become a problem for you. This app can also be used by anyone who might be interested in the theory behind how to do this. One of the best things about the app is that it has numerous resources, including various videos that explain everything to do with picking locks.

Locksmith Connect:

When providing locksmith services, there are many times when one would need to access lots of technical information, including codes, wafer positions and even part numbers. Even the best of locksmiths can’€™t memorize this information, so it’€™s important to be able to retrieve it from another source. This app makes it easy to do so without having to use a PC or laptop.

Lock Hero:

There are many times when people forget the combination codes for their locks. Retrieving this information can be difficult in some instances, but having this app makes it very easy. It gives you a guide on how to retrieve a lost combination lock code with ease. The best thing about the app is that it’€™s very easy to use, but very effective at the same time.

These are some of the best codes you can use as a locksmith. Whether you are a professional or just starting out, you are likely to find them very useful in your career. All of these apps are easy to use, and most of them are basic enough for use on virtually any Android device. If you are interested in making your work much easier, you can download a few (or even all) of the above. This is a decision you are unlikely to regret.

Thanks for sharing this helpful post with the people. I am quite happy to see that these apps are now available for helping people. I was thinking once that this is the era of smartphones and there should be some sort of link between locksmith and smartphones so that people can get help online. I will personally try all mentioned apps and will share my thoughts about the good one.

Thanks for the post Rachel! Technology really changed our lives in some amazing ways. I never thought I would see the day when we would have smartphone apps that can help people enhance their security. I am a bit scared that they have an app that teaches people to pick locks though. Hopefully there won’t be too many people that misuse that.

I’ve looked some of those up before and Locksmith Connect is very comprehensive and can be a life saver. A lot of people just think picking locks is for criminals, but it’s an extremely useful skill to have, whether you get locked out of your home, or your car, you always have a backup plan. Great list!

Hi Rachel Jones! You are right, technology provides the opportunity to make life easier. Now we are staying in the age of technology. For that Android developer makes Android apps for locksmithing, it’s a very good thing. But an unexpected thing is that- we could not find the real history of lock and locksmithing, who invented it first? Who is the real man to get credit for lock’s invention?

Though we know about lock’s history, but the knowledge about what we are acquired is not accurate knowledge.

    Hi Rachel Jones!

I wish I knew about Locksmith before. Last year both my wife and I were on a holiday for 30 days. After coming home we discovered a lot of things were stolen from our house including some valuable gadgets, cash and jewelry.

Security system is much more advanced these days. So I find no reason to continue with the backdated ones. I have already ordered a new one!

    Locksmith, you are awesome!

Also, thanks for the article Rachel.
