The concept of free internet is quickly disappearing from the world today, and the rate at which ISPs are increasing the amount the charge for their services every day is stunning. The reality is that not everybody can afford to pay excessive fees for internet services, and not everybody is comfortable paying exorbitantly for what they know can be gotten for free.
I’m an expert that specializes in helping people get the best wireless internet plans around them, and I’ve been doing some quality research lately on ways to get free wireless internet access.
I will be giving you a few tips in this article to help you get free wireless internet anywhere you are.
Tether Your Mobile Internet Wirelessly
Most of us today have a wireless enabled mobile phone, and a lot of us are already hooked up with unlimited internet from our ISP to our mobile phones. The problem most of us have is that we are yet to figure out a way to be able to use the internet on our mobile with our computers. Well, I have good news for you. You can now easily share your mobile internet with your computer.
This technique is specifically for Nokia phones, and some Sony Ericson phones. While I can’t guarantee it will work with other phones, you can still try it to see how it works.
What you need to do is install the Joikuspot application on your Nokia phone; its main function is to turn your mobile phone into a wireless ad-hoc device. Your computer will be able to detect and connect to your mobile phone, and you can easily browse for free using your mobile phone without having to pay extra fees for internet on your computer.
Visit Your Local Library
If you don’t have a wireless enabled mobile phone, or a mobile phone supported by the above mentioned application, you can also get free wireless internet by visiting your local Library. If you have a ticket with them already, or if you plan to use the Library for a while, you can easily use the opportunity to visit the Library and enjoy free access to the internet. Some libraries will even allow you to use the internet for free without purchasing a ticket, so make sure you check with your local library to see what their options are.
Visit the Website, Free-Hotspot.com
Another option you have is to visit Free-Hotspot.com. It is a website focused on helping people in Europe get free wireless hotspots. It has support for around 18 countries in Europe, so you can check it out to see if it offers support for your country.

i live in south east asia particularly the Philippines and I just hope that there is a Free-Hotspot.com counter part in our country. The united nations declared that internet uses is a basic right of a person and it just means that all people must have a free access to it.

Good points. My samsung galaxy S comes standard with an option for wireless tethering.
The only thing you need to be careful about is the rules of your phone contract.
In the Netherlands there is no provider that allows you to use your phone’s internet on your computer by tethering. And in many cases where it says you have “unlimited” internet you are actually restricted by a fair use policy.

What a brilliant post. You should do a series! :)I did a sort of blogging for dummies over
on one of the craft forums and I thought it was too simple for them, but the amount of
emails I got asking questions just like what you addressed was unbelievable. As young
people today we have grown up with computers, but it’s easy to forget that even people
just a few years older have not! Really good post! 🙂

Currently, I’m having problem with tethering my mobile phone for some connections before. Luckily for me, I was able to discover how to make it possible. I was able to make it work because I installed something in my mobile phone. Now, I could maximize my mobile phone connection no matter where I go.
