Wireless Alarm Systems Let You Monitor Your Home From Laptop

Each and every one of us wants to live in a safe and secure home. However, it’s hard to keep tabs on your home while you’re away at work or out running errands. But, what if you could? As technology continues to advance, so do home security systems. Not only does this technology help make your home more secure, but it helps make security more convenient as well. As LifeShield’s wireless security systems are growing in popularity, more and more homeowners (and renters too!) are benefiting.

What is Wireless Security?

Wireless security has many benefits. Firstly, the system is self set-up so you have full control over your own security. That means you do not have to let an installation technician into your home and there is no drilling or hard-wiring required. Simply plug it in and start protecting your home, just like that. Secondly, because there is no hard-wiring, your home will be more secure; traditional hard-wired systems rely on your phone line to communicate with the monitoring center. However, as most burglars know, one simple snip and your home security system is rendered useless. LifeShield’s wireless system gives you four layers of protection so you are always secure. Lastly, LifeShield’s technology gives you control over your home security even when you’re not home. With the web-based LifeView application, you can remotely monitor your home no matter where in the world you may be.

What is Remote Monitoring?

Remote monitoring lets you see what’s going on at your home in real-time. You can see if any doors have been opened, what time these events occurred, and view live video footage or snapshots from your in-home cameras. And, you can do all of this right from your smart phone or computer. All you need is an internet connection. This kind of monitoring gives you plenty of options:
– Arm or disarm your system remotely
– Change security codes
– See all of the activity going on at your home
– View video footage or event snapshots

These features help make security more convenient. You’ll have peace of mind knowing your pets are okay or that the kids arrived home from school. If you’re away on vacation, you’ll no longer wonder if everything is secure at home because you can check at any hour of the day. With wireless monitoring from laptops, home security is easier than ever.

I have an idea that this might reduce us to paranoid nervous wrecks, constantly checking our phones.

While some people may take their paranoia a bit too far, the truth is that alarm systems are proven to deter burglars, and crimes which are caught on video are more likely to result in conviction. When it comes to home safety, those facts make the extra effort worthwhile to me!

The flat cable that connects the screen to your laptop’s graphic cards gets cut by opening and closing the lid too often. Unfortunately, this can only be fixed at your local service and it can be rather expensive. I suggest that you check by calling them and provide them with your laptop model so you can get a quote on the price of repair.

I do agree with you Gsb. Most people are always waking up checking the time in their cellphones or alarm clock. I think that it can also help them to know certain things that can happen inside their house. Thanks for another information about it.

Home alarm systems and surveillance cameras are very useful when it comes to safeguarding your property and home while you’re away. However, for most homeowners, it is still quite expensive to avail this, especially if you have a large area to cover.
I agree that remote monitoring is a great way to keep an eye on your home even if you are outside or spending vacation at a far away place. Thanks for sharing!

That technology is something new. I wonder if it really works well. This is one of a kind surveillance technology. I think this is much better if you will have a software that can help you view all the security cameras.

Fantastic article. With all of the benefits of wireless technology these days, it makes it hard to determine why no one would want to install or at least learn more about home security.

I’ve read a few posts on this blog and I can honestly relate. Couple months ago i was the victim of a break in and I realized I needed a home security and surveillance system for my home in Jupiter ,FL. AllAnglesSurveillance was the answer. Located in Palm Beach, I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a great security company. You should try them

In my opinion for monitoring purposes the rugged laptops are best choice because they can easily handle wear and tear and can work under extreme conditions.
