When you have been bitten by the addiction of just clicking on your camera’s shutter and taking pictures of just about anything you set your eyes on, you would know that there is such a thing as an open secret in this trade: Once you start acquiring gadgets and accessories, you can’t stop. That’s because the gadgets you have may require you to buy further gadgets that would work with them, would make using them better, or would complement them. Not convinced? Just think, if you have a computer, the experience and the convenience of having a computer won’t be realized to its full potential without having a printer, a scanner, a webcam, a USB 3.0 docking station, or a steady power supply.
In the world of digital photography, this concept is always true. Once you have your digital camera or your DLSR, you simply cannot stop there. But then, once you have the absolute essentials down pat, there is a lesser chance of you buying more extra accessories. Memory cards, a camera bag, and some rechargeable batteries are quite obvious already, so here are four further accessories that should really help you in your craft, and not just stuff that are not that important in the end:
-
A USB 3.0 docking station
You would need something that would charge your digital camera and make your file transfers from your camera to your PC, laptop, or other gadgets that much easier. Especially if you are on the move or traveling and you have to pack all your gadgets, you would want to streamline the need to pack wires and cables, too. Something like the Simple Dock of Kanex Live will reduce your need to pack all the wires for your gadget, not to mention that it will make the transfers of the pictures you have taken from your camera, phone, or tablet easier to your laptop or PC, which in turn, would make it easier for you to share your pictures on social media and other channels.
-
Lithium batteries
While you also have rechargeable batteries, they have a tendency to wear down very fast once they are removed from the charger. Moreover, the performance and lifespan of rechargeable batteries can be dramatically reduced once they are exposed to extreme temperatures. If your camera allows for AA batteries, have lithium batteries handy, as they have longer shelf lives and are pretty stable in performing in any temperature. When rechargeables fail, lithium batteries should prove to be reliable for you.
-
A portable tripod
A tripod should prove to be handy in getting the best shot for stationary objects at the right angles. You would be able to get amazing shots without having to worry about shaky hands or your subject being out of focus.

Yes a good list there. but these days things are changing fast. With the camera attachments available nowadays, you would just require to carry a smartphone and the attachment that’s all. What do you think about camera attachments?
