Here is the list of the top 5 battle royal games which are full of excitement, thrill and strategies.

The video game industry has been ruled by games of different genres during different time periods. While some genres stayed as a legend forever, others got tossed off the table without any hullabaloo but in the past year or so, the Battle royal games have been dominating the gaming industry like anything.

Battle royal gives you the platform to team up with your friends in a squad, and land on an island to survive against 96 other players. The only motive of the battle royal game is to survive until the end, but it isn’t as easy as it sounds. During your stay on the island, you have to collect weapons, health kits, attachments, use vehicles for covering big distances and then survive until the end.

While PUBG can be considered as the first game in the battle royal genre, but now there are many other games available in this genre and each one has its own speciality. The ability to talk with your friend while strategizing for the victory makes this genre of games more interesting.

So let’s quickly jump on to some of the best battle royal games which are currently available in the market.

PUBG

This is one of the first games which started the battle royal genre and it is still ruling the industry. The PUBG game is available on both PC and mobile and both of its platforms have been a great success for the developers. In this game, you can choose to play solo, duo or squad. After choosing your team, you will be matched with other players and then you will have to choose your spot and jump on an island for collecting weapons and all other necessary things which you might need for the victory. The victory in this game is called “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” and you have to work hard to be the last man standing.

Fortnite

Fortnite was launched just after the release of PUBG and with almost everything similar to the inventors of the battle royal game, PUBG filed a case against Fortnite for copying its concept. Later the dispute was settled for an undisclosed amount and soon Fortnite became a big success, surpassing the number of online players in PUBG sometimes. You can say that the Fortnite is a cartoonish version of the PUBG but it has got a lot of cool stuff. The strategy and idea are similar but there are some additions like building structures to attack and defend, cool dance moves, magical bombs which make your opponent dance and lots of other stuff.

COD Black Ops 4 Blackout

You can say that the Blackout is a welcome extension of the Call of Duty: Black ops 4 which enhanced its shooter legacy with the battle royal concept. It has a very precise gunplay and movement with no lags or cheats. The game has got pretty decent graphics, but still the sound of the gun, its recoil and many other things don’t look as realistic as PUBG  but still the game is growing at a very fast pace with good new features like ability to throw grenades while holding the gun, a shield, cool guns and many other things.

H1Z1

H1Z1 capitalized on the battle royal genre and took the PlayStation 4 by storm. You should know that the H1Z1 was launched before the PUBG but it got hid in the steam catalogs as an early access title. It completely differentiated itself from the current battle royal games and that’s what makes it unique. You might not want to play this game because of its graphics, but you might like its different gameplay and functions.

ARMA 3

You can consider ARMA 3 as the grandfather of all battle royal games. It is a realistic military simulation which has been set in a fictional warzone where you have to fight for territorial dominance. The graphics of the game are quite outdated, but it still has got the thrill and excitement which most of the battle royal gamers search for.

So if you love playing battle royal games, then instead of sticking to one game, you can try out the various platforms of the battle royal genre which gives you a different experience and allows you to unlock you a different set of skills.
