SmartFile Proven More Secure Than FTP

Are you aware about the security issues of data transfer protocols which are used to transfer your data from one source to another? A data transfer protocol with adequate bandwidth is not enough unless that protocol can ensure the maximum security of the data during its transaction period. You may prefer FTP (File Transfer Protocol) as it is one of the most common and widely used data transfer protocol; however, you may need to consider some other protocols as well when you need to pick a secure protocol for data transfer purposes. FTP itself was a secured protocol, even a few years back when the risk of data theft was not as much as today.  The following discussion will help you get a glimpse of the security issues of FTP and make it clear why you need to go with alternatives.

Why FTP Lost It’s Luster

Your data is becoming more vulnerable to FTP as you need to get involved with online data transactions for both personal and business purposes. Even your password protected data is not inside FTP anymore as simple FTP allows unencrypted transmission of passwords. You will find the same unencrypted manner of transferring data through FTP when it comes about your plain data, whether it comes with password protection or not.

You must consider the importance of firewall when it comes about the security of data transfer. Functions like firewall configuration and port forwarding are become more complex when it comes about FTP, as this data transfer protocol needs a secondary port where the network administrator must need to deal with both exterior and interior firewall of the system.

What Is SmartFile?

SmartFile is more secure than conventional or usual FTP, where the issue of data security is dealt by minimizing the risk factors. Your data are more secure than before when it transfer through automated and high level encryption by using SmartFile. This secure file transfer protocol is now become the first choice to many personal users to enterprise level user, as this protocol can ensure the maximum security of the data. Many businesses and organizations are now dealing with Big Data, where security of the data is one of their key concerns. More the volume of data you are dealing with, more secured protocol is required to avoid the vulnerability of those data. Here, you will find some explicit reasons to consider SmartFile as your first choice for data transfer purpose.

How This Program Trumps FTP

Security of data is the first issue which will make you consider SmartFile as the best of your options. Besides of high level encrypted data transfer process, SmartFile will also allow you to have more control while you need to organize and manage your data. You can also share the same file with multiple users with this smart and secure data transfer protocol. Again, you have nothing to bother about the size of any particular file while transferring that file using this protocol. You and your shared partners can download the file at any time by using virtual file link, no matter how big that file is. Moreover, many enhanced features inside this incredible program will also let you edit your shared/transferred files through easy and simple editing options as well.

I have used smartfile and I can vouch that it is more secure than FTP. I just recently had 3 clients on FTP get hacked within the past few months…I’ve never had anyone get hacked with smarfile

Its so nice to see that a better data transfer protocol than FTP has been developed now. Besides providing you easy and more secure connectivity, Smartfile doesn’t restrict you in terms of number of users and neither does it restrict you in terms of file size. A very nice data transfer protocol for secure file transfer.

I haven’t used smartfile yet, but I’m looking forward to it. After years of thinking ftp was the best, it is good to see something better come out.

Prepaid SmartFile for 1 year. Was a waste of money. Customer service is poor, tickets were often closed without the questions within being answered. SmartFile is inflexible with their plans, they are not granular as claimed as there are only 3 options and no ability to add or remove features individual features. Based upon my legal advice, the SmartFile terms and conditions contravene Australian law. Better and cheaper options than SmartFile are available.
