All of Apple products’ strive towards perfection, which is not surprising as the late Steve Jobs, the man whose vision drives and which will continue to drive Apple and its product development, was a perfectionist to the core. People wait for its product with ill-disguised expectations and while some do it because they are Apple enthusiasts; others do it to check whether the latest products have the same brand of perfection that Apple prides itself in.
The same has been the case with the iPhone 5. Everybody wants to know and is finding out for themselves whether Apple has brought out the best smartphone currently available on the market. Well, for my money, Apple has tried to go about creating the perfect smartphone, the kind of phone that will be the future benchmark for all future smartphones. But, has it succeeded? This question can only be answered with time, but let’s take a look at some of its features to see for ourselves whether it’s the most perfect phone ever.
Design Precision
Take a glance at the iPhone 5, and you will be forgiven for thinking that you are looking at a reprised version of the iPhone 4S. But a closer look will tell you that the new iPhone is sleeker and thinner than its previous counterpart. It weighs just 112 grams and is 7.6mm thin. More importantly, the display is bigger than the iPhone 4S, which makes its design all the more extraordinary. The design is thin and light, and what’s more, Apple has had to re-imagine technology to ensure that the thinner and lighter iPhone 5, brings to the user a slew of new features.
It’s Faster On All Counts
The device is faster on many counts. Firstly, it brings to the user, the LTE wireless technology that ensures faster data exchange. The company has tried to address the fact that the use of LTE, drains battery power; the focus has been on offering users not just fast but ultra-fast connectivity without the accompanying consequence of a fast draining battery.
It’s also faster when it comes to its performance. Yes, the all new A6 Chip ensures that every functionality of the iPhone 5, is fast, so whether it’s the launching of an app or performance of the app, downloading documents from the web or even the loading of web pages, everything has become ‘lightening’ fast.
This chip also ensures that the graphics-intensive apps and games also perform faster; they are smoother, and more realistic.
A Much Better Camera
Apple has topped the iPhone 4S camera and made it much better. It’s still called an iSight camera, but it brings to the user plenty of new features, like the all new ‘Panorama’ feature which helps you take a 240 degree shot, this means you can take a panoramic picture that helps you capture just about anything and everything in one image. What’s more, the A6 chip, the gyroscope, and the Camera app, all come together to offer some amazing pictures that win full points for their pixel quality. There is also a marked improvement in the speed of capturing photos; this means more photos can be captured with even better clarity than ever before and what’s more a user can snap even more pictures
To Conclude
This is just a bird’s eye view of some of the features that the iPhone 5 brings to the user. If you are planning to buy one, then I suggest that you make an informed decision regarding the same, and ensure that you have a clear idea about what you are going in for. Also, don’t just buy it because you “think” it’s the best smartphone ever. But, because you think the new features of the device are what you want.

I have to admit, I would not be using my iPhone 5 if I could not jailbreak it. Most of the apps on iPhone that I use are from Cydia. I have to admit, after the update to 6.0 I did notice that the 4S was a bit slower but the 5 runs like a champ.

Apple has become a follower. New panorama function? Take a look at Android 2.2 (year 2010): At this time HTC had its panorama function implemented, a better one aswell.
With iOS7 Apple proofes that the innovations are not made by Apple.
