In a world that is based off of technology, it is no wonder that some of the more wealthier people have decided to create some works of wonder with gizmos and gadgets. Let’s take a look at four of the most technologically advanced homes today.

Knightsbridge

First of all, protection was important. This home features bomb-proof windows that repel bullet shots, as well as eye-recognition security devices that will prevent intruders from entering the home uninvited.

Now imagine a place in which you only had to click a button, and the pictures revolved into television sets! If things couldn’t get any fancier, this home hosts an illuminated bar that serves drinks 24/7. Another interesting feature are the demisting mirrors, which are able to clear themselves so that you can see your reflection after getting out of a nice, hot shower.

Solar panels help power this monstrous home to preserve our natural resources by reducing the amount of energy that is used. Being placed in such a sunny area, the home is able to power itself without assistance.

Tah.Mah.Lah

Although it looks like an older style home that doesn’t have anything special to it on the outside, this home is quite different on the inside. This home was built to be the greenest home in America using the technology of today.

This homes starts with energy-efficient windows, and goes all the way to watering the drought-tolerant land with its waste water. This is a net-zero home, in other words, it produces all of its energy through geothermal heating. It doesn’t use any outside form of power at all, being able to operate entirely on its own. It also makes use of solar panels to harness the sun’s rays and use it for energy as well.

New American Home

This is one of those homes that enjoys luxury, and takes advantage of it at every turn. However, it manages to make up for it with its green efforts to reduce the amount of energy that it uses. It uses everything from foam walls to highly-efficient air conditioning systems.

This house has everything, from a automated lighting system to security cameras to 11 television sets strategically placed around the home. This home even sits on a lake, which allows it to have numerous jet-skis and boats that the owners are able to use whenever.

Kim Hageman’s Home

This home was built with energy-efficiency in mind. Being the first home to get the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Homes certification, this home met its purpose.

It uses a ground source heat pump and heavy insulation to keep the home warm. It also hosts a huge cistern to water the lawn. These are just a few examples, but the truly amazing part is that it is made up of 100 percent recycled materials. It is made of scrapped homes and other recycled goods, taking no resources at all to construct!

So the Knightsbridge seems like some serious stuff! Bomb-proof windows? Yikes. However, I am a fan of eye-recognition security, that is definitely an appealing futuristic feature I would get myself. Thanks for this synopsis of the world’s technologically advanced homes!

My favorite house is the home that supports itself through geothermal energy. It probably is not cost effective but still pretty awesome that it is self-sustaining. Hopefully such technology will eventually drop in price to make it more sensible for mass use.
