  2. Write down all the formulae included in your syllabus, along with the interpretation of variables and the standard unit of measurement. This will help prevent mistakes in the examination.
  3. Avoid oral and reading revisions. Try to learn and write down your understanding, when you revise. This will allow you to practice writing, thereby increasing your speed and accuracy as you attempt your final exam.

Chemistry –

  1. The practical questions from the chapter “Matter In Our Surroundings” are very important. Focus on them and practice similar questions regularly.
  2. Solve multiple numerical problems on the Mole concept and repeatedly revise the valency of elements.
  3. Make sure you practice chemical formulae by writing.
  4. Learn the theories and models of the structure of atoms by heart.

Biology –

  1. Focus on the cell, the organelles, and their functions. Broadly speaking, a question from either osmosis, diffusion, or plasmolysis is expected.
  2. Take note of the similarities and differences between the individual phyla of the animal kingdom.
  3. Revise the rules of the scientific binomial nomenclature of organisms.
  4. Diseases In Human Beings is an important topic, and a question is usually expected from this chapter.

  6. Biogeochemical Cycles are the most important topic. All the cycles must be thoroughly understood and studied.

Practical –

  1. Practical questions are two in number from each of the subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
  2. Biology questions are usually based on the identification and function of tissues, and human cheek cells, and the onion peel experiment.
  3. Chemistry questions will include molecular mass, and compounds, and mixtures.
  4. Physics practical questions will be from sound reflection, determination of density, and pulse speed.

Important Study Tips
