The large size of Samsung Galaxy S3 was criticized before its release, but its high selling rate since day one proved it to be one of the best smartphones so far. Though this highly-appreciated smartphone has large number of useful features, but no device till date is without any flaws and this phone too has some issues. Mentioned below are some of the commonly seen flaws in Samsung Galaxy S3 and with them, we have also mentioned possible resolutions to workarounds these issues:

  • Frequent Freeze: One of the largely seen problems with Galaxy S3 is it freezes frequently. However, very few users sent complaints about this issue last year after its release. This issue is seen largely in the handsets that are sold in 2013. Resolution: If your phone is new and you are experiencing this problem, then you should immediately replace or return it, or otherwise hold down the power button and restart your phone. People generally say that the problem gets resolved by itself in 15 minutes or so.

  • Consumes more Battery: Smartphones generally drain more battery than normal phones. Many Galaxy S3 users complain that their phone eats a lot of battery even when it is not in use. One of the reasons for this issue can be presence of too many installed applications that keep on running even when the phone is not in use. Therefore, disabling some of the less frequently-used application or features of some applications can save a lot of battery. Resolution: Fire up your Chrome by choosing ‘Settings >> Developer tools’ and uncheck ‘Enable till Scrolling’. Sometimes it is seen that turning off the LTE saves a lot of battery. You can do it by going to ‘Settings >> More settings >> Mobile networks >> Network mode’.

  • Sudden Death Syndrome: This issue is largely seen in 16GB Galaxy S3 phones and is related to flash memory chip. In this problem, your phone does not switch on whatever you do. Resolution: With such issue, you should go to Samsung’s authorized service center where you will be able to resolve your problem. They either replace your device or repair it. Moreover, Samsung has released a fix for this problem as well, but you can use it only if your phone has the latest firmware.

  • Overheating: Another prominent problem with Galaxy S3 is it gets overheated easily. Some of the users have complained that it gets too overheated such that it crashes or freezes suddenly. This is because of the sleek and thin body with large battery that heats up the phone easily. However, crash is one of the extreme situations that is observed by a few people, otherwise the generic solution for this problem is: Resolution: The obvious solution to overcome this problem is to let the phone cool down.

  • Problems with Microphone and Audio: Some Galaxy S3 users have reported that they cannot hear a clear voice on their phone and the signal strength too drops as they disconnect the call. The speakers of Galaxy S3 are also not so good. Resolution: Go to ‘Settings >> Accessibility’ and ensure that you have turned off ‘All sounds’. After that go to ‘Settings >> Sound’ and ensure that you have correct volume level and sounds turned on.

Aforementioned are some of the largely seen problems with Galaxy S3 and their possible fixes. However, if you have some other problems or these fixes are not resolving your issue, then contacting the Samsung Support is the only choice.

Battery is definitely an issue. You know and updating it to jelly Bean shows me some lag, however Ice Cream sandwhich runs perfectly.
