With people scanning news feed updates all the time, it helps to add some creativity to really make your status updates stand out from the pack. By applying at least one of the following tips you will be able to add some extra style to your status updates so that your posts can stand out from the crowd!

1. Status Tagging To Tag A Page, Group, Or Person

Status tagging is a feature Available only to those who access Facebook via a computer. This feature allows you to tag a Page, Group, or Person by typing the @ symbol and then the name of what you are trying to tag. By tagging in you updates you call attention to your status and help build the rand of the thing you are tagging.  This can be a great strategy for getting people to like your page if you tag your pave in an update.

2. Post A Picture

A picture says a thousand words.  Post a cool picture and there is a good chance that people will like it. If you have an iPhone you can download the free Instagram app to your phone to add effects to your picture and easily share your content to Facebook and other social networks.

3. Post A Quote

Quotes are a great way to share some awesome sayings with your group. There is no shortage of quotes websites on the Internet simply do a search for the topic you are looking for best quotes and you will find several sites with quotes from a variety of topics.

Find a few quotes you like and share them every once in a while with your friends.

4. Try Status Shuffle

Status shuffle is an application that allows you to shuffle through thousands of status updates to find something that you could either use directly or adapt slightly to make your own.

If you are looking for a large selection of updates that you can sort through by topic this is a great app to check out.

Simply click the shuffle button until you find a status update that suits your style!

5. Flip Your Text

The website fliptext.org allows you to take any text and flip it on it’s head.

Feel free to get creative with this, tell people you are standing on your head or something, and you are bound to get some people interested in your update.

6. Schedule Your Status Updates

Scheduling status update is a way to make sure that status updates go out at the perfect time, whether or not you are there to post them. For example, I have a status update scheduled for November 11th this year saying “Happy 11/11/2011!”

Using Hootsuite you can schedule updates to your profile and/or up to five pages you manage. Another update scheduling service is Laterbro, which only enables you to schedule updates for your profile, but has the added benefit of setting recurring updates every day, week, month or even year!

7. Update Your Status With A New App

Every Facebook Status update you post comes with an icon from the app that shows how you posted your update. Post from different apps like Facebook for Chrome, Facebook Mobile, or Hootsuite.

Status tagging is very efficient way of notifying your contacts about about a post, event, etc. instead of emailing them.

I agree. When you tag people/businesses in a status message or post, it also appears on THEIR page (unless they changed the default settings of their page). In turn, this brings attention to your brand, and if you happened to post an interesting update, you may just get some new *likes* in the process.

Fliptext sounds like a fun way to spice things up that you normally wouldn’t. After all, what better way to get attention then having people stare up side down at your page? I’m going to have to try it!

I’m actually tired of ppl who post quotes as facebook quotes, as if they’re a philosopher and know everything about life… if you haven’t experienced much in life, please leave the philosophizing to those that have.

May i just say that i personally hate it when i get tagged in a photo of clouds or flowers, along with a hundred other people. It just makes no sense to me. On the other hand, i love adding images to my statuses, i just think visual impact is very important and will get you more comments than a simple statement.

I agree with you, as new update of Google has really enhanced the value of Social Media more than it was before. It will very useful for all type of users especially for e-commerce community. The new update of Google panda had recommended social community site to all website owners for E-marketing. Now social community sites have more value after Google panda update.
