Most car owners looking for good car lighting are often torn between getting an LED kit or a hid conversion kit. While many people are attracted to LED because it is a newer technology, an HID conversion actually offers some advantages that you can’t get in LED. In case you are in a dilemma on which one of them to choose, it may be better to go for an HID conversion kit.
Just to make things clearer for you, here are 3 reasons to use a hid conversion kit on your car.
It gives you flexibility
Unlike an LED kit, an HID conversion kit gives you flexibility in terms of the amount of light that you get. With HID you are sure of what to expect. For instance, if you go for a 35-watt ballet, you can be sure that you will get 35 lumens, and so forth. This is not something that you can easily determine with an LED kit. That’s because it is still a developing tech, which makes it hard to determine what you can expect with certainty. This is very important for a driver because you want vehicle lightning that you can easily predict how it will perform, even before you move to install it.
HID still has an edge in Lumen numbers
There are so many LED companies out there that market themselves as being able to provide 10,000 lumens and above. However, the reality is that none of them can achieve these numbers. They will get to these levels at some point, but at the moment, they are just not there yet. That’s not the case with HID. HID is proven tech, and can easily achieve up to 10,000 lumens. In essence, by buying an HID kit for your car, you are simply buying into tested and proven tech that can hit any number of Lumens that it promises to offer. This means that HID is still better on a comparative basis. Since you are not getting a kit for research but rather for everyday use, it would be best to go for HID conversion for its proven and tested tech.
It gives you more color choices
While LED is bright and is continuing to get brighter because it is a new and developing technology, HID is better because it gives you more color choices. Most people are not just looking for brightness, they also want some color variety. This makes HID a great option since you get to experiment with multiple colors of your choosing. Of course, it’s not just in color that HID offers you a wide choice, it also offers you choices in terms of the number of beam patterns. One large beam is functional but it’s boring. It’s more exciting when you can have a variety of patterns, and that’s exactly what you get with an HID conversion kit. It’s way more exciting than an LED kit, that’s for sure.
