3 Different Ways to Send Text Messages

When most people think of sending a text message, they usually only consider the phone-to-phone method. However there are different methods of sending a text message. These methods can be beneficial for those who do not have a text massaging package with their carrier or don’t have access to their phone. The different methods ultimately allow you to get your message sent at any time and under any circumstance.

Phone to Phone

The standard phone-to-phone method is the most used message of sending a text message. To use this method, you and the person you wish to text must have a phone. Your prospective phones must be allowed to send and receive text messages. This usually means that both of you must pay a fee of some sort to your prospective service providers. When sending a text message with a phone, you can add multiple recipients and can create a group message in some cases. A group text message will allow all recipients to see the replies of others. If you receive a text message that contains multiple recipients, you can choose to reply all, or to can just reply to the sender. This will allow you to control who sees your responses.

Carrier Website

Another method is to send a text online through your carrier’s website. It is a convenient way to participate in text messages without paying a fee for it. All you have to do is log on to your carriers website and go to the page that allows you to send text messages. To do this, you must first have a online account with your carrier. This method can also be used if you have lost or damaged your phone. Instead worrying about keeping your contacts updated, you can easily send out a text message through your carrier’s website.

Online Companies

You can also use different online companies to send out text messages. These companies can include Text’em, Google, FishText and SMS Everywhere. This service does not require that you use your personal phone number. Not everyone has a cell phone, so this option allows users to participate in text messaging. The companies normally require an account and an email address. These services are free and allow senders to send or receive unlimited text messages. This option is also great for those who are out of the country on business and do not wish to incur extra fees.

Sending and receiving text messages allow you to partake in conversations that you may not have originally had. Text messages allow you to communicate with others in settings that a phone call may not be appropriate. The second and third options that are listed will allow users to participate in text messaging without a phone. If you do not have a cell phone or have broken your cell phone, you will still be able to send text messages to others. These methods are free, quick, and effective for all involved in the exchange.
