Twitter has announced that Webmasters and Bloggers will now be able to access its new “Tweet Button” for use on any Website. The new button is available in the form of about four lines of code which makes it simple and easy to use (Click here to add Tweet Button to your Website or copy and paste the code below and place wherever you want it to appear on your Website). The Tweet Button will enable Web visitors to Tweet and share posts they like, with other Twitter users, by simply clicking the button wherever it is located on an article or post.

Twitter’s Tweet Button will function as a “Tweet This Post” button and show the number of times it was clicked on by default. It will also allow Webmasters to configure the it in order to suggest that other Twitter users’ follow the publisher’s Twitter account. However, there are already many similar Tweet Buttons available from other third-party developers, such as Tweetmeme and AddThis and one can’t help but wonder what the real motive  behind Twitter’s latest addition is. Apart from its quick installation and a change of colour (from green to blue), it does not seem to offer much else to persuade those who already use similar third-party apps to install. The official video that shows how to use Tweet Button is shown below for interested readers. Enjoy!
