In second place is Dustin Moskovitz, Co-founder of Facebook. He is worth $2.7 billion and in the 420th position. Aged only 26, Dustin is the youngest person on the Forbes list, beating Zuckerberg by 8 days.
In joint third place is Eduardo Saverin and Facebook’s first president Sean Parker at no. 782 with $1.6 billion. In fifth position is Peter Thiel, who invested $500,000 in Facebook in 2004, at no. 833 with $1.5 billion. Other Facebook associates on the list include Mark Pincus, president of Zynga (authors of FarmVille and Mafia Wars) at no. 1140 with $1 billion, and Russian Internet investor, Yuri Milner, who also invested in Facebook, at no. 1140 with $1 billion.
Although the United States has 10 more billionaires than last year, it also has 56 fewer than its peak in 2008. Overall, the richest person in the world remains Mexican telecoms tycoon, Carlos Slim, who has a net worth of $74 billion.
