The evoMouse can work on almost any flat surface with very little space and tracks to the users movements to perform common mouse operations such as controlling the cursor, click and select, double-click, right-click and drag with basic hand gestures, using only your fingers.
Furthermore, it feaures a multi-touch functionality that includes scroll, rotate, zoom, forward and back in addition to handwriting recognition with the finger or a pen.
Connecting a computer or desktop to evoMouse is also quite simple and straightforward as it can be done via Bluetooth or a standard USB port. Finally, there is possibly some health benefits. According to the manufacturers “Because it allows natural movements and doesn’t require pushing around a physical object, the evoMouse may help reduce repetitive stress injuries like Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.”
VERDICT: Seems like a good alternative to touch-screen functionality for those who do not like the mouse and are not so keen on having their computer screens dirty.
