REVIEW: Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX77

Technology advancement is not limited to the world wide web and Internet alone as can be seen in Panasonic’s new digital camera, the Lumix DMC-FX77. The camera makes use of a built-in airbrushing software that features a ‘Beauty Retouch’ mode that can whiten the users teeth, reduce wrinkles and put colour on the cheeks. The attached airbrushing software comes with a 16 mega-pixel sensor and 3.5 inches TFT Touch Screen LCD display to add make-up and make the skin appear smoother.

As in most modern digital cameras, there are various other modes specifically designed for the type of picture taken such as portraits, etc. According to the makers, there are several ‘face fixing’ grades that can be applied to a picture to make it extremely attractive or in some cases, more terrifying than attractive. Take for example, the make-up mode which presents a choice of colours and tones to apply foundation, blush and lip-stick to a picture.

VERDICT: Like every other digital product, the overall evaluation depends on the user. For example, if you are one of those people who would like to add the extra touch to your photograph particularly without having to log on to a PC or computer, then the Lumix DMC-FX77 might just be the way to go.
