Have you ever wondered what the world’s simplest mobile phone looks like? A mobile phone manufacturer in Holland has designed what has been hailed by many as the most simplest phone on the entire planet. John’s Phone was designed to carry out just one function i.e. make telephone calls. That means that users are unable to take photos, play games or send text messages as the device does not have a camera or indeed, a display screen.
The gadget, which can be purchased from 69.95 Euros, will target mobile phone users who want their phones to do nothing but make telephone calls. However, there are some potential drawbacks, the device can only record ten speed dial numbers, a limited number of ringtones, an old-fashioned paper and pen address book, concealed behind a flap at the rear end of the phone.
Apart from its simplicity and ease of use (domestically or internationally), advantages of John’s phone includes the fact that users do not have to sign up for a contract, it is unlocked, and has over 3 weeks standby time. It remains to be seen however, if the device will resonate with mobile phone consumers.
