The United Nations Tech Group (International Telecommunication Union) has revealed the differences in Worldwide access to and cost of broadband services. According to the report, the Central African Republic is the most expensive place to get a fixed broadband connection with cost standing at almost 40 times the average monthly income while Macao in China is the cheapest at 0.3% of the average monthly income. When landlines and mobiles are included, Niger takes over as the most expensive place to access communication technologies (See tables below – click to expand).
