Every other person round the globe is using WhatsApp Messenger, an all rounder in the field of chatting applications. It instantly became the most used instant messenger app on smartphones. What makes it so approachable is its simple user interface and the way people use it to interact with each other; especially the emoticons make the chat so lively, and the real time interaction makes it super fun to share all the media which we can share (Yayyyyy!! images, audio and video clips sharing is sooooooooo fun!).
Besides the features we’re already aware of, WhatsApp made a recent update and launched a feature which is voice call. We’re not complaining about any of the features, but despite so many features put together in WhatsApp, there are still a lot of features which a lot of people might desire for, the one’s which are not on WhatsApp. There are many features which WhatsApp rivals have which give them a lead, lets take a look at some of these.
Free Voice Calls
As we all are familiar with Viber and its features. We all love it’s free voice call feature that weâd like to steal it! Who doesn’t like to talk for long hours and that too without having to worry about hefty phone bills. One simply needs an unlimited internet plan, or Wi-Fi for more clarity. What makes it more wonderful is that it requires no registration, and it merges well with your phone’s contact list so you don’t have to add the contacts manually. Wish this feature comes in WhatsApp soon!
Animated Stickers
WeChat has this amazing set of animated stickers and a wide variety of emoticons (not that WhatsApp doesn’t has!), moreover you can download emoticons from WeChat’s catalogue, or use one from your album. Also you can have your regular voice chat sessions and like Facebook you can share, like and comment on images of your friends. You can even synchronize your Facebook account with WeChat. It’ll be great to see some animated emoticons in WhatsApp.
Unda
Unda is a video messaging application that lets it users to send videos at a lightning speed which allows the user to receive and send video just like text messages. The app is super fast, easy and fun to use, and one doesn’t need to worry about slow internet connection. As of now it’s available for Apple devices only.
Group Video Chatting
WhatsApp does support group chat, but what it lacks is Group Video chatting. Google hangout not only provides chatting option but lets the users interact via group video chat. You can add up to 10 people at max. Google Inc.launched this in May,2013 and ever since group video chatting has become extremely easy and helpful.
Custom Voicemail
Out of all other popular apps, Libon is an underestimated and unsung hero! It lets its users to create customized greetings, read all voicemails in form of text, and similarly it has speech to text technology which converts your speech into texts.
Hopefully we will be able to see if not all, then maybe a few of these features integrated in WhatsApp.
