Can Amazon Kindle Fire Match Apple iPad 2?

Following the recent launch of Amazon’s touchscreen tablet computer as the latest tablet to take on Apple’s iPad, we compare both devices and wonder whether the Kindle Fire is THE ONE to dislodge the iPad from the top of the tablet tree. Already, the Kindle Fire has many similarities with the iPad but then there is also the remarkable difference in price. Whilst the original Amazon Kindle is a simple ebook reader, Kindle Fire tablet comes with extra features such as the ability to play music, games and movies.

Kindle Fire vs Apple iPad

One of the first things that comes to mind when you compare Amazon’s Kindle Fire with the iPad is downloads. Whilst Kindle Fire users will have over over 18 million movies, TV shows, songs, apps, games, books and magazines to choose from via Amazon website and Android App store, iPad users can still count on the ever reliable Apple iTunes store for movies, music, ebooks as well as over 90,000 apps.
